This is the Cross that watched over Portugal’s soldiers during World War I.✝️✝️✝️

Known as the Christ of the Trenches (Cristo das Trincheiras), this crucifix stood with Portuguese troops in the mud and shellfire of the Western Front, especially during the brutal Battle of the Lys near Neuve-Chapelle in 1918.

One photo shows the soldiers posing with it on the battlefield. The other shows it today, carefully preserved and guarded at the Monastery of Batalha in Portugal.
A powerful reminder of faith that endured even in the darkest moments of war.

🌹 Our Lady of Guadalupe: A Mother Who Protects & Preserves 🌹

In 1531, the Virgin Mary appeared to St. Juan Diego on Tepeyac Hill in Mexico, leaving her miraculous image imprinted on his simple cactus-fiber tilma. That same holy image remains in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City to this day.

Miraculously, the original tilma has not rotted or decayed even after nearly 500 years far beyond the normal lifespan of such fragile material. It continues to amaze scientists and believers alike with its perfect preservation.

One of her most powerful signs of protection happened on November 14, 1921. During fierce anti-Catholic persecution in Mexico, a bomb hidden in a bouquet of flowers was placed right at the foot of the tilma.
When it exploded:
• The altar steps were shattered.
• Windows were blown out.
• A heavy brass crucifix nearby was bent into a U-shape by the force.
Yet the tilma and the beautiful image of Our Lady were completely untouched no damage, no burn marks, the delicate fabric did not move, and the glass remained intact. A true miracle of maternal love!

Today, a blessed Pilgrim Image (replica) of Our Lady of Guadalupe from Mexico is visiting the Philippines from June to December 2026. It will come to Zamboanga at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception from June 24 to 26, 2026 as part of this nationwide pilgrimage ahead of the 500th anniversary in 2031.
Let us welcome her with open hearts! No matter what difficulties we face, she walks with us and protects us.

Today, June 11, 2026, marks a historic and beautiful day! The Catholic bishops of the United States have consecrated the entire nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as they prepare for America’s 250th anniversary of independence. 🙏

My heart joins millions of Catholics worldwide in rejoicing. We are one Church, one family in Christ. May this consecration bring healing, unity, mercy, and peace to the American people.

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump also shared their support. They issued a statement saying they are joining in prayer with the bishops during this consecration, remembering America’s spiritual foundations.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on the United States of America.
Protect her people, guide her leaders, and let Your love reign in every heart.

🌟 A Historic Moment of Faith and Beauty! 🌟
On June 10, 2026 exactly 100 years after the death of visionary architect Antoni Gaudí Pope Leo XIV celebrated a Solemn Mass and blessed the newly completed Tower of Jesus Christ at the Sagrada Família in Barcelona.
This majestic tower, now crowned with a giant cross, makes the Sagrada Família the world’s tallest church at 172.5 meters (566 feet)! The evening featured a breathtaking light show rising to the summit, drones forming Gaudí’s silhouette, and spectacular fireworks lighting up the sky.
The Sagrada Família, dedicated to the Holy Family (Jesus, Mary & Joseph), is a profound expression of Catholic faith. Gaudí, known as “God’s Architect,” filled every detail with Christian symbolism from the towers representing the Apostles and Christ, to the facades telling the story of our salvation. After 144 years of construction, this milestone brings us closer to its full completion around 2034.
Elon Musk reposted the announcement, reflecting his admiration for Christian heritage and values as a self-described “cultural Christian.” It’s a beautiful reminder of how faith, art, and human creativity can inspire the world.
What an incredible testament to perseverance, devotion, and the glory of God! 🙏✝️

🙏 Inspiring Faith in Action: 18-Year-Old Carries a 35kg Wooden Cross Up a Mountain! 🏔️

When the historic iron cross atop Aneto Peak the highest summit in the Pyrenees at 3,404 meters was vandalized and stolen in mid April 2026, most people would have just shaken their heads.

But not 18 year old Frenchman Maël Le Lagadec.
This young landscape architecture apprentice hand built a beautiful new cross from dark walnut wood (over 1 meter high and weighing a staggering 35 kg / 77 lbs). On May 9, he strapped it to his back along with a 15 kg backpack and hiked for 14 hours covering 28 km with nearly 1,900 meters of elevation gain through snow and tough terrain to plant it at the summit.

“It was an adventure that will remain etched in my memory for a long time,” Maël said.

Days later, vandals knocked the new cross down again. But Spanish climbers stepped up, recovered it from the mountainside, and proudly restored it to its rightful place.
In a world quick to tear things down, stories like this remind us of the power of quiet perseverance, faith, and courage. 🙌✝️

Mel Gibson has wrapped principal photography on The Resurrection of the Christ (now in post-production for its 2027 release) and is moving forward with a powerful new limited TV miniseries on one of the greatest acts of courage in Christian history: the Great Siege of Malta in 1565.

Just 700 Knights of St. John, alongside local defenders, stood against a massive Ottoman invasion force of nearly 40,000 troops. For over three months, they fought with unbreakable faith and bravery to protect Malta and ultimately helped turn the tide against further Ottoman expansion into Europe.

This is the kind of heroic story we need more of on screen raw courage, deep conviction, and impossible odds overcome. Mel Gibson is the perfect director to bring it to life with the same passion he showed in The Passion of the Christ and Hacksaw Ridge.
