What an anchor-steady, faith-deepening weekend! From worship and sessions to laughter, sharing of testimonies, and prayer, our hearts are truly filled and our spirits renewed.

“𝐓𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮, 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬!”

Hearts were on fire as the ELYU Provincial Youth Conference 2025 concluded with a moving PraiseFest led by Kuya Ellecxe Tumabcao, YFC La Union Provincial Youth Head.

He emphasized that our mission to be vessels of hope doesn’t end here, but rather begins at this conference. It must radiate outside the community, reaching our friends and family.

May we always bear in mind the challenge that Kuya Ellecxe gave us, saying, “𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 — 𝐬𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐠-𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐨𝐝 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚.”

Every song, every raised hand, and every smile was a testimony of how good our God is. Truly, we ended the conference anchored in His love and overflowing with gratitude.

𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟑 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: 𝐀 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐆𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲.

During the first activity, the participants had the chance to share their family pictures and introduce their loved ones to their buddies. The participants also brought special gifts to exchange with their buddies, a simple yet meaningful act of giving and receiving love.

The activities ended with a heartfelt prayer over one another, sealing the moment with gratitude and care. Indeed, it was a time worth remembering, especially when shared with people with whom you also share God’s love.

𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: “𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭,” “𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬,” 𝐚𝐧𝐝 “𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭”

The morning program concluded with a breakout session that came alive with stories, laughter, and moments of reflection.

The YFC sessions, “𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭” 𝐚𝐧𝐝 "𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬," reminded the youth that holiness is not far from or unreachable but found in our everyday choices, friendships we build, faith that we live out with courage, and joy.

Meanwhile, our CFCs gathered for “𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭”, a beautiful reminder that faith and service know no age. Their wisdom, laughter, and testimonies continue to inspire the younger generation to keep their hearts anchored in Christ.

Indeed, at each turn in life, God meets us right where we are and He never lets go.

“𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬.”

In Session 3, Kuya Jaryd Reeve Luna reminded us that love, when rooted in Christ, endures beyond pain and imperfection. With the Holy Family as our example, we are reminded of a love that is not just a feeling but a choice, a love that demands sacrifice, faithfulness, and grace.

In support of the core of this talk, Ate Freya Domondon and Kuya Karel Dulay stood as witnesses to God’s great glory, sharing their testimonies, attesting to His unending grace.

As the Bible says in 1 John 4:19, “𝐖𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐇𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐬.” May we continue to love courageously and selflessly, trusting that every act of love brings us closer to the One who is Love Himself.

The afternoon continued with Session 2, an upfront reminder of the gift of family and the value of honoring those God placed in our lives.

In her talk, Tita Kate Flores spoke about ill actions that most of us are guilty of — hurting the people around us, most especially our families. She stressed that it is sin that causes these, and if it succeeds, our family will be greatly affected.

This session also persuades us that the silent battles we are facing are never unseen in the eyes of our God, and that we are not alone, even at times that we are not faithful to Him.

In connection with the talk, three sisters from YFC and SFC, Ate Stefanee Quinto, Ate Rimaica Macuroy, and Ate Fatima Alviarne, shared their testimonies of faith, showing how God has saved them and transformed their lives. Although they faced different struggles, all of their stories carried one common message: “𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐠𝐞.”

In a solemn celebration of the Holy Mass, the atmosphere was filled with reverence and gratitude. Together, the faithful offered their prayers of praise and thanksgiving to God, realizing His presence at the heart of the celebration.

Rev. Fr. Eugene Llobrera’s homily focused on the importance of setting life goals that are not rooted in material things, but in what matters most. He emphasized that no amount of technology can change the value or attributes of a person.

Ultimately, he challenged everyone to set goals that would glorify the Lord, saying, “Pangarapin din natin ang magsilbi sa Panginoon. Magugulat nalang tayo kung saan niya tayo kayang dalhin.”

“𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫… 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐘𝐨𝐮!”🎶

To keep the momentum and everyone’s hearts burning, YFC South Chapter Youth Head, Kuya Jan Prince Doctolero, led the people into worship.

He stressed that being anchored in Christ means holding on to a reason — and that very reason is is that we have responded to the Lord’s calling.

We paused to pray the Holy Rosary, lifting our hearts to Jesus through Mama Mary. Every bead, a prayer. Every prayer, an anchor of faith.
