𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐡 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡

It was said that there are two kinds of faith; intellectual faith, and emunah faith. Intellectual faith is rooted in reasoning, in believing in proven statements of God, and His power and grace. But, emunah faith is more than just belief. 𝑬𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒉 (אמונה) 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒘 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉, 𝒐𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅 (𝒊𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒎), 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒙𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒆.

In 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒔 15:1-6, God promised Abram that he will be blessed with children as much as the stars in the sky. However, 𝐇𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲, 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 25 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬, 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐦’𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬. During the wait, Abram remained steadfast in the Lord, following God, even when he didn’t know where he was being led. He remained rooted in God, even as the promise seemed out of sight.

𝙀𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙖𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙂𝙤𝙙’𝙨 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙨.
𝙀𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙖𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣.
𝙀𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙖𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮𝙨, 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙨, 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙮𝙨.

This teaches us that faith is not only passive belief, but active obedience. It is faith that shows devotion and conviction, not only through words, but through actions. 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭, 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞.

Belief started our journey with God, but obedience and faith will sustain us through it.

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐬

In church, we sing, we worship, we listen to His Word. The music lifts us, fellowship encourages us (Hebrews 10:24–25), and we draw near to God. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱, 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲?

Jesus reminds us, “𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞, ‘𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝, 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝,’ 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫“ (𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒘 7:21). 𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚. 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙫𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨.

Like Ruth who followed Naomi even in loss (𝑹𝒖𝒕𝒉 1:11–13), we are called to loyalty and steadfastness. Like the wise who stayed watchful (𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒘 25:13), we must remain ready for His return. And when He asks, “Who do you say I am?” (𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒘 16:15), may our lives speak through faith and obedience.

𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩.

𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢, 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙂𝙤𝙙.

𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙨 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚, 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙃𝙞𝙢.

𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙨, 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙤 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡.

𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙥𝙨, 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑹𝒐𝒂𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒆

The journey to where God wants you to be is rarely a straight line. Look at Joseph in Genesis 37. God gave him a dream of a great destiny, yet his path immediately led to betrayal, being sold into slavery, and eventually ending up in a prison cell.

Sometimes, your road gets rough and tough—but 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒍, 𝒅𝒆𝒕𝒐𝒖𝒓, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝒅𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒕𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝑳𝒂𝒏𝒅. What felt like a breakdown for Joseph was actually God’s setup and redirection.

📍 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐱𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐢𝐦 – Don’t turn back or get discouraged by the difficulty of the path.

📍 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐇𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 – God’s presence in Joseph’s life didn't immediately remove him from hardship—rather, 𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒑𝒉 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒂 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒈 𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒂 𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓. God's presence is not always a guarantee that your location will instantly change, but that 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚.

📍 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 – Just as Joseph did wherever he was placed. 𝙄𝙩’𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣—𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙.

Stay faithful, keep living with integrity, and trust the process. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙥𝙝 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙚!

𝐃𝐨 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐲 𝐆𝐨𝐝

It’s easy to let frustration or impatience take over when things don't go our way. In Numbers 20:1–12, Moses struck the rock out of anger instead of speaking to it as God commanded. Even though God showed mercy and provided water, Moses’ disobedience still carried consequences.

The truth is, 𝑮𝒐𝒅’𝒔 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒆 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒍 𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒄𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒃𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔. 𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝑯𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒔 𝒖𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒚 𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒚, not just when it’s convenient or matches our emotions.

God's commands aren't meant to restrict us—they are always for our own good and protection. Today, let’s choose trust over stubbornness and obedience over our own way.

𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐎𝐃’𝐒 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍

“𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙅𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙝 𝙧𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙊𝙍𝘿…” — 𝙅𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙝 1:3

God speaks, but are we willing to listen?
Sometimes, the Lord gives us a direction that we do not understand or a challenge that we do not want to face. Like Jonah, we may choose to run, follow our own plans, or take a different path. But even when we wander, 𝙂𝙤𝙙’𝙨 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚.

Our choices have consequences, and at times, we can become the authors of our own misfortunes. Yet God can use those moments to redirect us, remind us of His presence, and bring us back to where He wants us to be.

We may have our own plans and ambitions, but God’s purpose is greater than ours.

“𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙨, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙊𝙍𝘿’𝙨 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙖𝙞𝙡.” — 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙗𝙨 19:21

May we learn to listen when God speaks, seek His wisdom, surrender our own plans, and choose obedience—even when His direction is difficult to understand.
