📢 ESPASYO: Artificial Intelligence and the Church

Isa sa mga napapanahong usapin ngayon ay ang Artificial Intelligence (AI). Mabilis nitong binabago ang paraan ng ating pagtatrabaho, pag-aaral, pakikipag-ugnayan, at maging ang paraan ng paglilingkod ng Simbahan.

Ngunit habang patuloy na lumalawak ang AI, ano ang implikasyon nito sa atin bilang mga Kristiyano? Sa ating mga komunidad? At sa ating bansa?

Mas nagiging mahalaga ang mga tanong na ito sa harap ng Pax Silica, isang U.S.-led initiative na nakatuon sa secure supply chains para sa semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, AI infrastructure, at iba pang teknolohiyang mahalaga sa AI era. Noong Abril 2026, sumali ang Pilipinas sa initiative at inihayag ang planong AI-native industrial acceleration hub sa Luzon Economic Corridor.

Hindi lamang ito usapin ng technology. Ito ay usapin din ng kabuhayan, trabaho, edukasyon, ekonomiya, kalikasan, seguridad, dignidad ng tao, at kinabukasan ng ating bansa.

Bilang Simbahan, hindi tayo tinatawag na matakot sa bagong teknolohiya—ngunit hindi rin tayo tinatawag na basta na lamang sumabay. Tayo ay tinatawag na magtanong, magsuri, umunawa, at gumamit ng teknolohiya nang may karunungan, pananagutan, at malasakit sa kapwa.

🤖 Ano ang lugar ng AI sa buhay at misyon ng Simbahan?
🇵🇭 Ano ang maaaring maging epekto nito sa Pilipinas?
⚖️ Paano natin titiyakin na ang teknolohiya ay nagsisilbi sa tao at hindi ang tao ang nagiging alipin ng teknolohiya?
✝️ Ano ang sinasabi ng ating pananampalataya tungkol sa isang mundong mabilis na nagbabago dahil sa AI?

Halina't makiisa sa isang makabuluhang talakayan tungkol sa AI, Simbahan, at lipunan.

His work empowers grassroots communities and strengthens people’s participation in shaping a more just, resilient, and sustainable future.
