The synod's process marked a proliferation of scholarly output, including a substantial increase in books, book chapters, journal articles, and academic courses dedicated to the topic of synodality.prof. Jos Moons SJ (KU Leuven) and prof. Jens Van Rompaey (UCLouvain) have mapped them.

The - we present today - serves as a tool to systematically document the rapidly expanding corpus of academic literature produced over the past years. In total, the bibliography now comprises approximately 2,000 entries.

The publications are ordered, firstly, per year, and secondly, on alphabetical order. A methodological introduction explains and justifies the choices that have been made. Amongst other things, the bibliography shows a stunning growth in the number of publications. This sixth version of the bibliography was updated up to and including 2026.
