Discipline is something that seems boring at first. Even the Bible states in the book of Hebrews that no discipline seems pleasant, but painful. Therefore, it is important for us to be trained by it.

Discipline is not just something “we’d do,” it is also a foundation to harvest great things we desire, even righteousness and peace. Discipline also comes up with patience, consistency, commitment, and faith.

There are times when we think that the seeds we planted won’t grow, but everything has its perfect time, according to God’s will.

There are times when we become impatient and hopeless because we don’t see the results yet of what we have planted to grow. But God teaches us in Isaiah 60:22 that even the smallest ones can become a family of a thousand or a powerful nation.

This isn’t just about the ‘perfect time’ for everything nor waiting for seeds to grow and bloom, but also about being patient, disciplined, and trusting in the Lord.

The Lord, therefore, doesn’t only want us to bless with something bigger than we expected, He also wants us to learn meaningful and valuable lessons on the process, making us worthy of the things we prayed for, so that by the time the seed bears its fruit, we are able to handle it and grow more of it.

Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God can overcome the world, for the One who has already overcome the world and conquered death is with them.

God walks with those who have faith in Him, with those who believe that His Son Jesus died on the cross for us to be saved and have eternal life with Him.

This is a reminder that life does not always reveal the whole journey at once. There are times when we feel uncertain about the future, our own decisions, and the path we’re taking. God’s Word does not promise that everything will be easy, but it reminds us that we will never have to walk in darkness alone. His guidance often comes one step at a time, teaching us to trust Him even when we cannot see what lies ahead.

This verse reminds us that God is not finished with us. Even in seasons that feel dry, He is doing something new.

We don’t have to see the whole path. He promises to make a road in our wilderness, a way where we thought there was none.

He also gives rivers in our deserts — hope where we feel empty, and strength where we feel tired.

So, let us look and trust. The God who brings new things is walking with us.
