MAY 2—THE FIRST SATURDAY OF MAYMay 2, the First Saturday of the month, is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary—a beautiful expression of honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary’s pure and loving heart, totally centered on God. This devotion reminds the faithful of Mary’s interior life: her deep faith, her silent sacrifices, and her unwavering “yes” to the Lord. To contemplate her Immaculate Heart is to reflect on a heart that loves perfectly, suffers with compassion, and remains faithful even in trials.

This devotion is closely connected to the message of the Our Lady of Fatima apparitions, where Mary invited the faithful to practice the First Saturday devotion as an act of reparation for sins committed against her. The Church encourages simple yet meaningful practices on this day—going to Confession, receiving Holy Communion, praying the Rosary, and meditating on its mysteries. These acts are not merely obligations, but offerings of love meant to console the heart of a Mother who continually intercedes for her children.

As we journey through the Month of Mary, the First Saturday devotion becomes a special opportunity to renew our relationship with her. It calls us to slow down, enter into prayer, and entrust our intentions, struggles, and hopes to her maternal care. In drawing closer to Mary’s Immaculate Heart, we are gently led to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, where true peace, mercy, and grace are found.

THIS IS YOUR REMINDER TO BEGIN MAY BY PRAYING THE ROSARY

As we enter the month of May—the month lovingly dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary—we are invited to begin it with prayer, especially through the Rosary. It is not just a routine devotion, but a quiet moment to place our lives in God’s hands, guided by a Mother who always leads us closer to her Son, Jesus.

The Rosary allows us to reflect on the life of Christ through Mary’s eyes—His joys, His sufferings, His glory. In every bead, we bring our intentions, our worries, and our hopes. Whether we feel strong in faith or spiritually tired, this simple prayer meets us where we are and gently draws us back to God’s presence.

Starting May with the Rosary sets the tone for the whole month. It reminds us to slow down, to trust more deeply, and to stay rooted in prayer no matter how busy life gets. Even a few minutes each day can bring peace to the heart and clarity to the mind.

May this be a month of grace, healing, and quiet strength. As we hold the Rosary, may we also hold on to faith—believing that through Mary’s intercession, God is already working in our lives. 🙏🌹

On May 1, we celebrate Mary, Joseph and Jesus.

Feast of La Virgen Divina Pastora
Feast of St. Joseph the Worker
First Friday Devotion to Sacred Heart

On May 1, the Church invites us into a beautiful harmony of devotion centered on the Holy Family—Jesus, Mary, and Joseph—each revealing a different face of God’s love in our lives.

We honor the Feast of La Virgen Divina Pastora, a tender image of the Blessed Mother as the gentle shepherdess who guides, protects, and gathers her flock. Under this title, Mary reminds us that we are never alone—she walks with us, leads us to her Son, and cares for us with a mother’s unfailing love.

At the same time, we celebrate Saint Joseph the Worker, honoring the dignity of labor and the quiet strength of a man who served God through humble work and faithful obedience. St. Joseph teaches us that holiness is found not only in extraordinary acts, but in the daily offering of our duties, our sacrifices, and our perseverance.

This day is also marked by the First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a special invitation to draw close to the Heart of Christ—full of mercy, compassion, and endless love. It is a call to make reparation, to trust deeply, and to rest in His loving presence.

Together, these celebrations form a powerful reflection: Mary who guides, Joseph who provides, and Jesus who loves and saves. On this day, we are reminded that our homes, our work, and our hearts are all places where God dwells.

May May 1 be a day of grace for us all—a time to entrust our families to Mary’s care, our labor to Joseph’s guidance, and our lives to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. 🙏

May the Holy Family—Jesus Christ, Blessed Virgin Mary, and Saint Joseph—bless us deeply and abundantly this month of May.

In this beautiful month dedicated to our Blessed Mother, we are invited to slow down and return to what truly matters: a life centered on God, lived with love, simplicity, and trust. The Holy Family of Nazareth becomes our model—not a life without struggles, but a life filled with quiet faith and obedience. In their hidden and ordinary days, we see something extraordinary: a home where God is present in every moment.

May Jesus Christ dwell in our hearts and in our homes, teaching us how to love selflessly, forgive sincerely, and remain faithful even in difficult times. May Blessed Virgin Mary gently lead us closer to her Son, especially through the Holy Rosary, helping us to reflect on the mysteries of Christ with a humble and prayerful heart. And may Saint Joseph watch over our families, guiding us to be responsible, patient, and strong in faith, especially in times of uncertainty.

As we journey through May, may our homes become little Nazareths—places of prayer, kindness, and unity. May we grow in devotion, especially through simple acts: offering a daily Rosary, doing small sacrifices, and showing love in quiet ways. And even when life feels heavy, may we remember that God is near, working through the ordinary, just as He did in the life of the Holy Family.

May this month bring healing to wounded hearts, peace to troubled minds, and renewed strength to every family. Under the loving care of the Holy Family, may we walk in grace, guided by faith, and filled with hope. 🙏

May 1 is here—the doorway into a beautiful and grace-filled Month of Mary. In a special way, we entrust these days to the loving care of the Virgin Mary, our Mother who never tires of interceding for her children. As we begin this month, we are reminded that Mary walks with us—not from a distance, but closely, gently leading us to her Son, Jesus Christ.

This month invites us to slow down and return to what truly matters: prayer, trust, and a heart open to God’s will. Like Mary, who humbly accepted her mission with a faithful “yes,” we are called to surrender our worries, fears, and plans to the Lord. In moments when life feels heavy or uncertain, Mary becomes our refuge—someone who understands, who listens, and who brings our prayers directly to Jesus.

May is also a time of simple yet meaningful devotion. Through the Rosary, we meditate on the life of Christ with Mary by our side. Through traditions like Flores de Mayo, we offer not just flowers, but our sacrifices, gratitude, and love. Each small act of devotion becomes a fragrant offering, pleasing to God and comforting to our souls.

As we journey through this Month of Mary, may her intercession bring healing where there is pain, clarity where there is confusion, and hope where there is discouragement. May she protect our families, strengthen our faith, and guide our steps each day. And above all, may she always lead us closer to Jesus, where true peace and lasting joy are found.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary intercede for us this Month of May—now and always. 🙏🌸

ST. JOSEPH, PRAY FOR US

“He is Holy Joseph, because his office, of being spouse and protector of Mary, specially demanded sanctity.” – St. John Henry Newman

St. Joseph was a man chosen by God for his great virtues of humility, purity and poverty to be the head of the holy family of Nazareth and the foster father of Jesus.

Purity is the greatest virtue because God is perfect purity, He is beyond all imperfection.
The soul must reflect the image of the Purity of God, it is only then that you can be very intimately united to God. The sins of impurity have desecrated so many souls and this humanity is absorbed by the concupiscence of the flesh.

Let us pray for the intercession of St. Joseph that we may always live in a state of chastity. Let us pray for the whole world, for all the immorality to be destroyed by purity.

Good catch—that’s important.

Here’s your corrected version with “Feast” instead of “Solemnity,” keeping everything consistent:

GO TO ST. JOSEPH
(ITE AD IOSEPH)

On this Feast of St. Joseph the Worker, the Church gives fresh depth to a timeless call: Ite ad Ioseph — Go to Joseph.

Today, we do more than remember Saint Joseph—we are invited to turn to him with renewed trust and confidence. In a world marked by uncertainty—rising costs, family burdens, and personal struggles—this simple yet powerful phrase speaks directly to our hearts. Just as Saint Joseph quietly provided for and protected the Holy Family, he continues to intercede for us with fatherly care.

The Gospel reveals him as a man of action rather than words. He listened, obeyed, and trusted God even when the way forward was unclear. This feast reminds us that Ite ad Ioseph is not only an invitation for devotion, but also a call to imitation—especially for fathers, workers, and all who carry responsibility. His life teaches us that holiness is often found in hidden sacrifices, daily faithfulness, and steadfast love.

To “go to Joseph” today means entrusting our families, our work, and our worries to his care. It means asking him to teach us to rely on God’s providence, even when resources seem lacking and the future feels uncertain. Like him, we are called to stand firm, to protect what has been entrusted to us, and to lead with humility, courage, and quiet strength.

Above all, Saint Joseph never points to himself—he always leads us to Jesus Christ. This is the heart of Ite ad Ioseph: we go to Joseph so that he may bring us closer to Christ.

On this feast, let this be both our prayer and our resolve:
Ite ad Ioseph. Go to Joseph—in every need, in every trial, and in every hope. 🙏

GRAB YOUR ROSARIES, MAY DEVOTIONS BEGIN! 🌹🙏

The month of May has arrived—a time lovingly dedicated to our Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary. It is an invitation for all of us to return to prayer, to slow down, and to draw closer to Jesus through her gentle guidance. As we hold our rosaries, we are reminded that we are never alone—Mary walks with us, listens to us, and brings our intentions to her Son.

May devotions are not just traditions; they are moments of grace. Whether through the Rosary, the Flores de Mayo, or simple quiet prayers, each act of devotion becomes an offering of love. In every “Hail Mary,” we place our hopes, struggles, and gratitude into the hands of a Mother who understands.

This is the perfect time to renew our faith. Let this month be filled with peace, healing, and deeper trust in God’s plan. Even in the middle of our busy days, a few minutes with the Rosary can calm the heart and strengthen the soul.

So grab your rosaries, gather your family, and begin this beautiful journey of prayer. May this month be covered with grace, guided by Mary, and filled with blessings from above. 🌸✨

TOUCH THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

In Catholic teaching, Mary is not distant from the faithful; rather, she is intimately present as a loving Mother who intercedes and accompanies believers on their journey toward Christ. To “touch” her, therefore, means to allow one’s heart to be spiritually connected with hers—entering into her virtues, her silence, her humility, and her total surrender to God’s will as expressed in her words, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord” (Luke 1:38).

This spiritual “touch” happens in concrete acts of devotion. When the faithful pray the Rosary with meditation and love, they are not merely repeating prayers but entering into the mysteries of Christ’s life through Mary’s perspective. When they offer their struggles, anxieties, and intentions to her, they experience her maternal closeness and intercession. In moments of suffering, to “touch Mary” is to find comfort in her presence as Mother of Sorrows, who understands human pain and gently leads hearts toward hope. In moments of joy, it is to share in her Magnificat spirit—praising God with gratitude and humility.

Furthermore, this expression also highlights the transformative effect of Marian devotion. To “touch Mary” is to be changed by her example: to grow in humility, to trust more deeply in God’s providence, and to live with purity of intention and love for others. She does not draw attention to herself but always directs believers to Jesus Christ, her Son. Thus, in touching Mary spiritually, one is ultimately being drawn closer to Christ Himself, because authentic Marian devotion always leads to a deeper Christ-centered life. In this way, Mary becomes not only a model of faith but also a spiritual mother who gently forms the believer’s heart into one that is more open to grace, prayer, and holiness.

The month of May is lovingly known in the Church as the Month of Mary—a time when the faithful draw closer to the Blessed Virgin, honoring her unique role in salvation and entrusting their lives to her motherly care. This Marian calendar for May 2025 is not just a list of dates; it is a spiritual journey that invites us to encounter Mary under her many titles, each revealing a different aspect of her love, guidance, and intercession.

On May 1, we begin with La Virgen Divina Pastora, a tender image of Mary as the gentle shepherdess who leads her children closer to Christ. As we move to May 5, we honor Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, especially meaningful for those who seek safe journeys and calm amidst life’s uncertainties. By May 10 and May 12, we remember Our Lady of the Abandoned—both in Marikina and Manila—reminding us that no one is ever truly forsaken, for Mary stays close to those who feel lost, forgotten, or burdened.

Mid-month, on May 13, we celebrate Our Lady of Fatima, one of the most beloved Marian apparitions, calling us to prayer, repentance, and conversion. Then on May 19, Our Lady of Guidance of Ermita invites us to trust in her direction, especially when life feels confusing or uncertain. As May 24 arrives, we honor Mary under two beautiful titles: Mary, Help of Christians, who strengthens the faithful in times of struggle, and Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe de Extremadura of Loboc, a reminder of Mary’s presence across cultures and generations.

Finally, on May 31, we celebrate the Visitation of Our Lady, a moment of joyful service when Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth. This feast teaches us to bring Christ to others with humility, love, and generosity.

Throughout this Month of Mary, may we deepen our devotion through the Rosary, offer flowers in simple acts of love like Flores de Mayo, and imitate Mary’s “yes” in our daily lives. In every title we celebrate, we are reminded of one truth: Mary always leads us to her Son. Let this May be filled with grace, peace, and a renewed closeness to our Blessed Mother.
