Traits of Great Faith
(Feb 7, 2019)
Centurion’s Faith (Matthew 8:5-13)

1. Humility
-> Not thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself less. Humility is thinking more of others.
-> open for correction and learning
-> not avenging for yourself because you trust that God is a God of justice; He is your defender. Justice will be served when you become successful, or when your enemy knows about the truth, or when your enemy gets to know the Lord.
-> Humility is trusting God and not being afraid to receive help.
-> Humility is not being afraid to say sorry.

2. Great Love
- sacrificial
- You think more of others than yourself

3. Great belief
- -> To believe is to see.
- -> believing even when you don’t see anything
- -> acting on your belief

May 31, 2018: It's The Thought That Counts ❤️
By: Pastor Garvic Garcia

🔶 It is so easy to get lost when we entertain thoughts inside our head.

🔹Proverbs 4:23 says,
“Above all else, GUARD your heart, for EVERYTHING YOU DO FLOWS FROM IT.”
▪️”Follow your heart” is a creed embraced by billions of people around the world. This can sound so simple and beautiful and liberating BUT following our hearts does not save us. In fact, we need to be saved from our hearts. To follow one’s heart is certainly not in the Bible. Our hearts were never designed to be followed, BUT TO BE LED. Never designed to be “gods” in whom we must believe because our hearts were designed to believe in God.
▪️The Bible talks about the WHOLE BEING and so this includes intelligence, act of the will. In short, gamitin mo din ang pagiisip mo.
▪️Guard your mind, your actions, and everything else.

🔶 Many of life's battle starts and takes place in your mind. Because many of our thoughts are things that we do not want and often, they win.

🔶 Transformed by the Lord
▪️Once we accept and acknowledge Him, God has given us a new heart. We are a new creations. However, there will be a lot of times that we entertain a lot of toxic thoughts pa rin in our minds.

🔹Romans 7:15 says,
“I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.”
▪️Sinful nature and spiritual nature - There is a battle because you are now with the Lord.
▪️If you no struggles, then you have a problem. Why? Because struggles shape our character. So thank God for the struggles that you encounter.
▪️Toxic thoughts come into our minds and wreak havok in our lives.
▪️Toxic - anything containing poisonous material people, thoughts, material that destroys our life.

🔶 Sometimes we love to do SELF-TALKS. These are the things you will always say to yourself (intentional or unintentional):
- Di ko kaya
- Di ko NA kaya 'yan
- Above my pay grade
- I am disqualifying myself
- Not good enough
- Negative thinking - worst case scenario palagi iniisip
▪️Ask yourself: What is are the negative things you think about?
▪️If you think of negative thoughts, you will become a negative person. If you think like God, you will become like Christ.

🔶 So there should be a CHANGE in our thinking.
▪️Identify and reject toxic thoughts.

In other versions of
🔹Proverbs 4:23 (CEV) it says,
“Carefully guard your thoughts because they are the source of true life.”
▪️Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.

🔹2 Corinthians 10:4-5
“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
▪️Not just knowledge but you need power.
▪️And power behind is God Himself. ❤️
▪️It is a DIVINE POWER.
▪️DUNAMIS - Dynamite - means REALLY POWERFUL
▪️This power can DEMOLISH STRONGHOLDS. Which are ANY LIE THAT YOU BELIEVE.

First toxic thought: LIE
▪️HOW TO FIGHT A LIE? WITH THE TRUTH.
▪️WHEN YOU REALIZE THAT YOU KNOW YOU CAN DEMOLISH LIES - Mga lies na binubuhay natin sa utak natin.
▪️Demolish arguments, and all pretensions.
Examples of lies we choose to think and believe:
- Hindi totoo 'yan.
- Hindi mo naman kaya 'yan.
▪️Pretensions - mukha lang malakas pero mahina, etc.

🔶 We should take captive every thought that enters our minds.
▪️What to do?
FORCE OUR MINDS AND THOUGHTS TO BECOME OBEDIENT TO CHRIST.
▪️How?
Take the BIBLE and read. Then ask the Lord to help you.

🔹Romans 8:11 says,
“If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

🔶 When we only depending on the preachings of pastors and we do not seek God through His Word, we become malnourish Christians. 😞
▪️Better STUDY the Word EVERYDAY. ❤️
▪️Studying the Word once a week is like BUFFET NGAYON, GUTOM LATER.
▪️Listen to preachers of God and study the Word as well because the more we feed ourselves with the truth, the more we live it.

🔶 Some examples of negative thoughts would be:
- I don't have what it takes.
- Ako na lang palaging malas lahat sila swerte.
▪️Ingesting lies - they become truth in your life.

🔶 Remember that GOD IS ABLE.
▪️So, I am able because God is able. (Ephesians 3:20) ❤️

Second toxic thought: FEAR
▪️There are so many things you can be afraid like:
- End of the world.
▪️We are prone to all of these things but there is NO USE WORRYING. Instead, WE SHOULD PRAY.

🔶 Everything you've ever wanted is on the other side of fear - George Addair

Third toxic thought: DANGERS OF DISCONTENTMENT
▪️The Word of God teaches us to:
- Learn to be content (Paul’s teachings)
- Being content does not mean you do no longer work.
- Being content does not mean you're not going to work for better things in life.

Fourth toxic thought: CRITICAL THINKING
▪️This is when you become critical of others.
▪️We all make mistakes. Stop thinking critically of others.

🔶 You will find what you are looking for.
Example: Things that build your faith.
You can either choose to sink in to fear by looking for things to fear of.
Or you can choose to rise up your faith by looking for things that will boost it like reading God’s Word,

🔹Jeremiah 12:3 says,
“Yet you know me, O Lord; you see me and test thoughts about you. Drag them off like sheep to be butchered! Set them apart for the day of slaughter!”
▪️Kung may panget Lord, do it. Kayo na magtanggal.

🔶 As a Christian, you have the mind of Christ.
▪️Kung Anong nandiyan na hindi sa Panginoon, squatter siya, you should evict.
▪️Because if we don’t evict it, It starts to own us even though it should not be there.

🔶 Learn how to Identify and Reject (Actively reject it).
▪️Reject any thought that is not of the Lord sa inyong buhay.

🔹Philippians 4:7-8 says
“...the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is TRUE, whatever is NOBLE, whatever is RIGHT, whatever is PURE, whatever is LOVELY, whatever is ADMIRABLE - if anything is EXCELLENT or PRAISEWORTHY - THINK ABOUT SUCH THINGS.”
▪️Always think of something good if something bad happens.
▪️Naturally we are critical BUT GOD WANTS TO CHANGE OUR HEARTS, because He wants to change our minds.
▪️Sa umpisa medyo mahirap, struggling, but it will just come eventually. You have to do the struggling part.

🔶 SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE. SOMETHING HAS TO CLICK.

🔶 Sometimes there's no real reason for us to complain about.

🔶 When we changer our eyes the way we look at things, thought process changes, our hearts changes, things start to fall into the right places, things happen. ❤️

🔶 God’s Word that we should believe and always remember: (TRUTHS)
1. You are an OVERCOMER - He guarantees this.
2. You are who He called you to be.
3. You are redeemed by Him.
4. He is our righteousness. - Jesus in our hearts, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS NOT OUR OWN kasi hindi talaga tayo papasa.
5. Blessed by God.
6. You are called.
7. Not lacking in anything -In Him, we have everything that you need.

🔹Romans 12:2 says,
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
▪️We will identify and reject ALL TOXIC THOUGHTS AND WE WILL REPLACE THOSE THOUGHTS WITH GOD'S TRUTH. ❤️

🔶 Ask yourself always: Do I really want to be better?
▪️The secret to becoming better found in:
🔹Philippians 4:7
“...the peace of God, which transcends ALL understanding, WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS and YOUR MINDS in Christ Jesus.”
▪️If you know God, you have peace and you can say: LORD, I TRUST YOU. ❤️
- Trusting God DOES NOT MEAN hindi ka na magttrabaho. But you can still keep doing what you're doing AS YOU KEEP TRUSTING GOD. 😉❤️

May 24, 2018: THANKFUL, GRATEFUL AND OH SO BLESSED! ❤️
By: Pastor Garvic Garcia
Read: Jeremiah 17:5-8

🔶 Count your blessings and then you will understand what the Lord has done. ❤️

🔶 The opposite of BLESSED is CURSED.

🔹 Jeremiah 17:5-8 says,
“Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord.
He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives.
But blessed is the man who TRUSTS IN THE LORD, WHOSE CONFIDENCE IS IN HIM.
He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
▪️CURSED
- Tiwala ONLY on man - when you put your confidence in yourself alone; only in your good works and only in your own efforts.
- Claiming that you did everything on your own lang.
- Your FLESH alone. Self-effort mo lang talaga; you don’t ask for anyone’s help; hindi nagsasabi sa iba na may problema ka; never seeks help.

🔶 2 WAYS TO LIVE OUR LIFE
1. TRUST GOD - kapag kasama si Lord sa plano, your success will be COMPLETE. ❤️ (Jeremiah 17:7)
2. SELF-TRUST - depending on your own effort. It is not bad to trust in yourself. It only becomes bad if you trust on yourself ALONE. INCOMPLETE success comes when you ONLY trust yourself. (Jeremiah 17:5)

🔹Proverbs 10:22 says,
“The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds NO SORROW with it.”

🔶 God has His way. Slowly but STEADILY we accummulate our wealth.

🔶 “Don’t use all your health to chase after wealth, ONLY TO SPEND ALL YOUR WEALTH LATER TO GET BACK YOUR HEALTH.”

🔶 When God gives you a blessing, it is meant to be for your wholeness and for you to bless everyone else around you.

🔶 The blessing of God is always complete. It is never meant to destroy you. It is never meant to take away something from you.

🔶 When you have COMPLETE WHOLENESS, you have SHALOM (PEACE). ❤️
▪️You cannot have peace when you are not whole.

🔶 Even success can literally kill you because we sacrifice everything just for us to be successful. Not realizing that TRUE SUCCESS can NEVER BE MEASURED TO OUR BANK ACCOUNT.

🔹MATTHEW 6:33 says,
“SEEK FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and ALL these things will be added to you.” ❤️

🔶 If you worry about anything may dagdag ba sa iyong buhay yun? None. Because when we worry it SUBSTRACTS instead of ADDING.

🔶 So, step back, look at what you are doing, seek the counsel of the Lord. ☺️

🔶 5 signs you are enjoying your job:
1. Growing in it.
2. Umaga pa lang paggising mo excited ka na you look for ward to it.
3. Ang bilis ng oras.
4. Find ways to improve.
5. You just simply enjoy.

🔶 Stress kills your soul.
So what do you need to do?
Go to God. Because we become renewed and rejuvenated when we go to Him. ❤️

🔶 Most people love to do everything on their own without realizing that God can do more in a moment than what we can do in a lifetime. ❤️

🔶 Joseph became a slave. But in one moment he became the manager of the whole household. Joseph ran away from temptation. That is what we should do as well. God was with them. Joseph then ended as a Prime Minister in Egypt.

🔶 We should long for advancement in our lives.
Advancement that comes from God. Adds no sorrow with it. ❤️

🔶 REKLAMO ka ng reklamo, hindi mo nakikita or napapansin ang blessing mo. 😞
▪️When we neglect what God wants us to do, we miss the blessing itself.

🔶 2 characteristcs of a blessed man: (Jeremiah 17:7)
1. TRUSTS IN THE LORD
2. PUTS HOPE IN THE LORD- 100% GUARANTEE

🔶 RESULTS OF TRUSTING AND PUTTING PUR HOPE IN GOD: (Jeremiah 17:8)
1. will not fear when the heat comes
2. leaf will be green
3. will not be anxious in the year of drought - kasi naka depend tayo kay God
4. productive - always bears fruit; fruitful

🔶 God has a mission for you whatever happens. ❤️

🔹Deuteronomy 8:18 says,
“But remember the Lord your God, FOR IT IS HE who gives you the ability to produce wealth.”
▪️Be constantly thankful to God and always acknowledge other people, giving away all the Glory to God because it is He who gives us the ability.

🔶 Mark of a person who trusts in God:
▪️Always thankful to God.
▪️Gracious to others.
▪️No pride in his self.
▪️Knows that everything he has and all that he is, is all because of the grace of God.
- Has strong roots when you are in God.
- There is a river - river of God (from the Bible).

🔶 There are people na mukha silang okay sa labas pero ang totoo, patay na sila. 😞

🔹Psalm 112:6-9 says,
“Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear, in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.”
▪️YOU CAN BE STRONG.
▪️YOU CAN NEVER BE SHAKEN.

🔶 The curse man shall not see when the good comes.
While the blessed man shall not see when the drought comes. Because he is deeply rooted in the river who is God. He can remain at rest and not be stressd out. Hindi siya mawawalan ng prutas. His business is dependent on the favor God.

🔶 God desires our transformation not just to change our mindsets or desires.

🔹Romans 6:18 says,
“You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.”
▪️No longer a slave to sin but to righteousness.

🔶 God really wants to transform you. He is not just interested to make your life better. But He wants you to live a BLESSED LIFE. ❤️

🔶 BETTER IS NOTHING WITHOUT GOD.

🔶THE GREATEST BLESSING IS GOD HIMSELF: HIM OFFERING A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU. ❤️❤️❤️

May 17, 2018: SERVANT LEADER
By: Pastor Edison Lo
Read: John 13:1-17

Let’s first discuss the different levels or types of a leader:

1st level: Job Title
- This leader, siya na yung pag pasok mo sa trabaho na yun, siya na ang naka-appoint na leader.
- Possible din na you follow this certain person kasi siya ay anak ng may ari or siya mismo ang may ari ng company.
- Atmosphere in this kind of level: Most of the time people pretend to do something because they are bored of what they are doing. Normally, in this set-up, followers give minimal energy and minimal output.

2nd level: Likeable
- You have this aura as a leader that you are approachable.
- You love to listen to all of the people around you na lumalapit sayo.
- You see the problem and try to find a solution to that problem.

3rd level: Produce by example
- People see, people do or Monkey see, Monkey do
▪️Example: Parents and their children
🔸Never preach something na hindi mo ginagawa.

4th Level: People Development
- The organization will grow through developing people by mentoring them.
- Teaching/training and mentoring them and then papagawa mo sa kanila after.
- Then you hope that they will be able to do everything that you have taught them.

5th level: Respect
- They follow you for what you have done or what you have accomplished and just tend to adopt the vision of the company.
▪️Examples: Google, Microsoft, Jollibee

🔶 All of these principles are actually biblical because even before the Steve Jobs, Bill Gates; even before these different types or levels of leaders, there was this ONE MAN who has inspired a generation that UNTIL NOW, He still inspires the while world.

🔶 This person is JESUS CHRIST. He is the PERFECT example of a SERVANT LEADER.

There are actually a lot of stories in the Bible that exemplifies that but let’s focus now on John 13:1-17. ☺️

🔹John 13:1-17
“It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for Him to leave this world and go to thr Father. Having loved His own disciples who were in the world, He loved them to the end.
The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon aiscariot, to betray Jesus. Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under His power, and that He had come from God and was returning to God; so He got up from the meal, took of His outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around His waist. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash His disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around Him.
He came to Simon Peter, who said to Him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”
Jesus replied, “YOU DO NOT REALIZE NOW WHAT I AM DOING, BUT LATER YOU WILL UNDERSTAND.”
“No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.”
Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”
“Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and head as well.”
Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” For He knew who was going to betray Him, and that was why He said not every one was clean.
When He had finished washing their feet, He put on His clothes and returned to His place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” He asked them. “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.
Very truly I tell you, NO SERVANT IS GREATER THAN HIS MASTER, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, YOU WILL BE BLESSED IF YOU DO THEM.”

🔶 In order to be a great SERVANT LEADER just like Jesus Christ, we must acquire the following:
1. Be secured in yourself
🔹John 13:3 says,
“Jesus KNEW that the Father had put all things under His power, and that He had come from God and was returning to God.”
▪️Know who you are just as Jesus knew who He was. He knew that He was given power and that He was returning to God.
▪️Term Child Of God is such a powerful tool for you to keep in your heart and mind.
- Example:
Isang anak ng may ari ng restaurant was tasked to clean toilets. Will the cleaning of toilets remove the fact that he is the son of the owner? No. Just like us, when we serve, we become effective in serving when we are secured in ourselves, knowing that we are children of God. ❤️
- A manager in Jollibee who helps in serving and cleaning doesn’t remove his title of being the manager of that branch.

🔹John 1:12 says,
“But to all who did receive Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God.”
▪️This is such a powerful Word. ❤️

2. Demonstration
▪️Before Jesus started wasking the feet of the disciples, the disciples were actually having an argument. Nagpapayabangan sila kung sino and pinaka-magaling sa kanila at sino yung dapat na maging kanang kamay ni Jesus.
▪️Jesus wanted to TEACH them one last lesson before He leaves; to DEMONSTRATE something to them. So He got up and started washing their feet.

🔹John 13:6-11 says,
“He came to Simon Peter, who said to Him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”
And you are clean, though not every one of you.” For He knew who was going to betray Him, and that was why He said not every one was clean.”
▪️Jesus Christ is saying here as you walk in this sinful world, madudumihan ang mga paa niyo. At ‘yung mga maduduming paa niyo will be washed by His hands (that will be crucified for your sins).
▪️Foundation of every Christian’s faith is Jesus washing away our sins. Accepting Him is the very foundation of our relationship with God.
▪️He also said that in time it will be revealed why and that someone will betray Him.

🔶 Jesus Christ demonstrated HOW TO BE SERVANT; HOW TO SERVE OTHERS. Kasi sa totoo lang, MADALI LANG I-SERVE YUNG MGA KAKILALA NATIN AT MAHAL NATIN. Pero regardless of kahit sinong tao yan you have to serve that person JUST LIKE HOW JESUS SERVED. ❤️ He knew someone will betray and deny him and everything, BUT HE STILL CHOSE TO SERVE. ❤️

🔶 JESUS CAME TO SERVE.

🔶 If you are going to serve someone, WAG KANG MAMILI. Regardless of whatever that person did to you. If you have the opportunity to serve this person, you go ahead and do it. ☺️

🔹1 Peter 4:10 says,
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to SERVE OTHERS, as faithful stewards of God’s Grace in its various forms.”

3. APPLICATION
🔹John 13:12-17 says,
“When He had finished washing their feet, He put on His clothes and returned to His place.
▪️We should also APPLY what Jesus has demonstrated. He was telling his disciples that they too should wash one another’s feet.
▪️It is like Jesus is saying here: “Naiintindihan mo ba? Is it very clear sayo. IF YES, YOU HAVE TO EXPERIENCE IT BY APPLYING IT.”

🔶 Leadership is about influencing. Always as and always will be. ☺️

🔶 CHANGING YOURSELF WOULD HAVE AN IMPACT TO YOUR FAMILY AND EVENTUALLY TO THE WHOLE WORLD. ❤️

🔶 We have the opportunity to change the world, but it has to start with us. Change can only begin by having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that is by accepting Him as your personal Lord and Savior. ❤️

🔶 Jesus Christ is the business of changing lives. He may even have changed or is changing your life without you realizing. ❤️

🔶 READ: The book of Nehemiah

🔶 Are you spiritually dry? Have you been trying to read your Bible and yet parang walang pumapasok? Are you trying to be consistent with your Prayer Time pero parang hindi ka maka-focus? Do you feel like you’ve been working so hard and you’re not seeing results? Have you been praying for something and you’re not sure if naririnig ka ba ni Lord or feeling mo kinakausap mo lang ‘yung wall?

1. GOD OFTEN USES A CRISIS AS A STARTING POINT FOR A BREAKTHROUGH.
- In the book of Nehemiah, the CRISIS was the broken wall.
- If you notice, all of the amazing stories in the Bible, started with a CRISIS. And it is during these times that God is able to show Himself.
- Examples are:
a. Moses - naging Moses lang siya dahil may problem/crisis to begin with. There was slavery in Egypt.
b. Multiplication of loaves of bread and fish - nangyari because there was a problem to begin with. Ang daming tao pero hindi enough ang food.
c. The calming of the storm by Jesus - nangyari because there was a storm while they were on sea.
d. Jesus became our Savior - the problem: our sins; sin corrupted the world.

- Bakit kailangan magsimula si Lord sa isang problema bago magkaroon ng breakthrough?
> Because it is ONLY during times of crisis that we experience a need that is bigger than ourselves. Kasi bilang tao, we like to control our life. A lot of us, we like to control every single aspect of our life.
> It is ONLY during times of crisis that we let go of control. God is such a gentleman. Hindi Niya panghihimasukan ang buhay mo if you do not give control. And sometimes the only way that you will release control to Him is through crisis. Lalo na kapag may pinagdadaanan ka nang masyadong malaki na hindi mo na kaya on your own.
> So, oftentimes talaga ang starting point ng isang breakthrough ay there is a NEED, a PROBLEM or a CRISIS.

- Whenever you are faced with a crisis, see it in a different perspective. Don’t look at it as something negative.
- Everything that we are experiencing in life is all a set-up.
- It is in times of crisis that we become so close to God.
- Be excited whenever you encounter a crisis, a need or a problem (whether small or big) because God is already writing a special story for you. ☺️❤️

2. WHERE DID GOD PLACE YOU? YOUR CALLING/PURPOSE/MISSION IS USUALLY CONNECTED TO WHERE YOU ARE.
- Nehemiah was a CUPBEARER (malapit siya sa King) then he became a GOVERNOR (malapit siya sa mga tao). God called him to be there for a SPECIFIC PURPOSE.
- God is too smart to place you in a wrong place. Kung saan ka nilagay ni Lord, MAYROONG RASON YAN. 😉❤️ Maybe He wants you to be a light there.
- At some point of your life, have you ever experienced wishing na sana sa ibang pamilya ka na lang born? That maybe you think things would be easier if God has placed you in a different family?
> It is so easy to compare our lives to others that we forget that God is too smart to make a mistake or to have made a mistake. Masyadong matalino at perfect si Lord para magkamali.
> So, DON’T EVER, EVER, EVER THINK THAT YOU ARE IN THE WRONG FAMILY. GOD PLACED YOU THERE FOR A REASON. GOD HAS A PLAN FOR EACH OF YOUR FAMILIES. ❤️
> We may not know what God’s plan is but all we have to know and remember is that He is so good. He is Sovereign. AND HE HAS NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU.
> So DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF with other people because God has a really unique and beautiful journey for each one of us.

- FOR THOSE WHO ARE WORKING, there may be some of you who is not happy in their working environment. TAKE NOTE OF THIS:
> Your working environment may not be ideal right now, but YOU HAVE TRUST GOD REGARDLESS OF YOUR SITUATION IN WORK. GOD IS SO MUCH BIGGER THAN WHATEVER YOU ARE FACING NOW. ❤️
> If God wants you to stay in a certain place, He will make ways for you not to leave.
> Wherever workplace and whatever work you are in now, GOD HAS A PURPOSE. Sometimes we don’t need to understand. But AT ALL TIMES, we need to TRUST GOD.
> God is so smart that sometimes we try to match His smartness but the truth is, we can never outsmart God.
> GOD WILL OFTEN LEAD YOU TO JOBS, OR PLACES, OR FAMILIES, OR NEIGHBORHOODS, ETC. NA HINDI MO FEEL. Meaning you will be put into situations wherein you would feel inadequate because God said in:
🔹2 Corinthians 12:9 says,
“My Grace is SUFFICIENT for you. For My power is made strongest when you are weak.”
> Maybe the reason why you feel so different in your group or in your family is because God INTENDS you to be a GAMECHANGER or a TRAILBLAZER. HE WANTS YOU TO BE A LIGHT. ❤️ —> Diba ang mga ilaw ginagamit kapag madilim? So in the same way God strategically puts light in dark places, He has also strategically placed you there where you are right now because He wants you to be a light in that team, that branch, that company, that family, etc

3. YOU ARE A . GOD HAS BIRTHED SOMETHING IN YOU. SO, DO NOT BE AFRAID TO START SOMETHING NEW. ☺️
> Trailblazer - means you’re a PIONEER; a TRENDSETTER; an INNOVATOR; a PERSON WHO MAKES A NEW TRACK. Kumbaga kung walang daan, ikaw ang gumagawa ng daan.
> Nehemiah is a trailblazer kasi siya lang ang tanging nag-lead para mabuo ‘yung wall. Pwede namang ibang tao. Pero bakit siya? Because he was called by God to be a trailblazer.
> In the Bible, there are A LOT of people who are also trailblazers. Examples are:
- Moses - parting of the Red Sea
- Daniel - was put in the lion’s den na HINDI NAKAIN
- Elijah - asked the Lord to stop raining for 3 1/2 years
- Jonah - survived inside the belly of a whale for 3 days
- Mary - a VIRGIN who gave birth to a child
- Jesus - was the GREATEST TRAILBLAZER of all; He HEALED people, RESURRECTED the dead, He WALKED on water, He ROSE FROM THE GRAVE, He MULTIPLIED the loaves and the fish, and SO MANY MORE MIRACLES.
> HOW ABOUT YOU? YOU ARE A TRAILBLAZER. ❤️
> Maybe God has already put something in your heart & mind to for you to start doing and maybe it is scarying the hell out of you, or maybe it is so uncomfortable, so crazy and so impossible. BUT always remember, GOD WILL GIVE YOU THE COURAGE and the GRACE to MOVE FORWARD kung galing ‘yan kay Lord. ❤️
> The crazier an idea is, the better. 😉
> Every person has 1 mother passion and we have so many other sub-passions.
> Kapag m weird ang mother passsion mo, it means nobody has done it before. All the more it becomes exciting.
> Whatever God has placed in your heart, no matter how crazy it seems, no matter how weird, or feeling mo parang wala ka pang kilalang nakaisip nun, OKAY LANG ‘YAN. ☺️ Because maybe God is birthing something new in you that the world has not seen yet.
> God never runs out of ideas. In fact, He is the greatest revolutionary/trailblazer because He defied logic when He lived on earth. For example, His disciples were sinners, fishermen, at mga corrupt na tax collectors. Pwede naman Siyang pumili ng mga nakapag-aral at may breeding. Sino ang mga naunang missionaries? Pastors or priests ba? Hindi, diba? Kundi isang pr******te - the woman at the well.
Isang Hari si Jesus pero ano ang sasakyan Niya when He lived on earth? Volvo ba or Ferrari? Hindi, diba? Kundi DONKEY. Hindi man lang nga horse eh.

So, in short, Jesus defied the norm. Hari nga Siya but He did not lived His life here on earth like as the usual things a King would do.

He was not even born in a hospital or in a beautiful place, instead, He was born in a manger or sabsaban.

🔶 Jesus defied ALL OF THESE NORMS, so, don’t be afraid to stand out.

> If God has placed something in your heart and you feel like you are going against popular practices or belief, OKAY LANG ‘YUN. Because maybe God wants to start a NEW MINISTRY that has never been heard of before through you. ☺️

- Or maybe you’re creating a new way of worshipping God. Maybe instead of songs, you are worshipping God through poems and you’re weirded out na feeling mo wala pang ibang gumagawa niyan.
- Or maybe you’re in a workplace where everybody is corrupt and gusto mo magkaroon ng revival in the Spirit para sa mga taong nagwwork doon.
- Or maybe you’re in a family na palagi na lang nagaaway-away and sobrang lakas ng burden in your heart na ipag-pray mo sila everyday at madala mo sila sa church.
- Or maybe God is asking you to move to another country pero takot na takot ka kasi you do not know what the future holds.
- Or maybe God is asking you to give half of your money to your homeless bestfriend, and you’re afraid na baka maubusan ka ng pera.
- Or maybe God is nudging you to talk to your big boss para mag-suggest ka ng isang revolutionary idea na wala pang nakakaisip.

🔶 WHATEVER IT IS, NO MATTER HOW IRRATIONAL OR SEEMINGLY CRAZY ‘YUNG PINAPAGAWA NI LORD SAYO, YOU NEED TO TRUST GOD. ☺️❤️

> The more extreme na pinapagawa ni Lord sayo, the more that He actually trusts you. And the more of Him that He wants to reveal through you. So, BE EXCITED. ☺️❤️

4. YOU WILL FACE OPPOSITION BUT PRESS ON. 😉
> In the book of Nehemiah, they faced a lot of oppositions.
> Even mga tauhan ni Nehemiah, doubted if they would be able and if they can finish the wall.
> Whatever God has placed in your heart to do, you will be facing oppositions in this life.
> Marami kang magiging detractors, people who do not believe in you and people who will not be happy with your success. Your circumstances may not always be aligned with you and not everyone will be happy because whenever you are doing God’s will mayroong isang taong hindi masaya. At si satan ‘yun, he will do so many things to try and stop you from doing God’s will.
> Whenever you become disheartened kapag nakaka-face ka ng oppositions, what should you do? PRESS ON! ☺️❤️
🔹Philippians 3:14 says,
“I PRESS ON toward the goal to which the prize for which God has called me.”
▪️Why did Paul say this to us? Because he knows that we will be facing oppositions. He knows that all of us will be having our own races. We will be having our own battles to face; our own journeys to take.
▪️Pressing on means:
- ENDURING.
- Running even if it is hurting.
- Believing God even when nothing seems to make sense.
- To continue doing the last thing that God has told us to do even if we are not seeing any results.
- Continuously forgiving that neighbor of yours who keeps on offending you.
- Continuously spending time with Jesus even if hindi mo Siya nararamdaman.
- Reading your Bible even if minsan wala nang pumapasok sa isip mo.
- Attending Bible studies even if it will take so much of your precious time or production hours.
- Time spent listening to your depressed friend na tanging ikaw lang ang nakaka-tolerate sa kanya.
- Continuously leading your small group even isa na lang ‘yung nag-aattend.
- Continuously believing that you will be healed from HIV or autism even if the world does not have cure for those things.
- FOLLOWING JESUS WHATEVER COSTS IT MAY LEAD YOU TO.

And as you PRESS ON, you need to take out your MOST POWERFUL WEAPON...

5. MOST POWERFUL WEAPON: PRAYER! USE IT AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN! ❤️
> Nehemiah’s initial reaction would always be to PRAY.
> Unfortunately in our lives, prayer is under-used. 😞
> Our usual weapons would be PANIC, WORRY, or we RELY ON OUR OWN STRENGTH.
> The problem is when we dig in to ourselves, we have VERY LIMITED RESOURCES.
> BUT when we tap into God’s UNLIMITED RESOURCES, nagmumukhang mas maliit ‘yung problema.
🔹2 Peter 3:8 says,
“With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.”
▪️Ang pwedeng i-accomplish ni Lord in a snap of a finger, would take us a lifetime to accomplish.
▪️’Yung minsan na pinagttrabahuhan mo nang sobrang tagal, kayang gawin ni Lord ng ganon lang.
▪️You can spend weeks or months working your ass off to getting that medallion award that you are aiming for, but God can give it to you in an instant.
You may feel like you’re running out of time and all your friends are getting married except you. And so you pursue the only woman who comes along and you spend so much time wasted on the wrong relationship. Did you realize na pwede naman pa lang ipagdasal ang iyong partner? GOD CAN INSTANTLY CHANGE YOUR LOVE LIFE JUST LIKE THAT. 😉
▪️What we can do in a lifetime, God can do in just a snap of a finger! ❤️ Minsan kasi nakakalimutan natin Siya. Kaya kailangan lang talaga nating unahin Siya. By praying to Him and seeking Him. ❤️
▪️God is in the business of showering us with blessings especially IF WE ASK.
▪️Sometimes the reason why we do not have is because we do not ask. (JAMES 4:2)
▪️Eh sabi nga ni Lord: “ASK and it will be given to you; SEEK and you will find; KNOCK and the door will be opened unto you.” (Matthew 7:7) —> So go ask for it kung alam mo namang hindi masama ‘yung mga hinihingi mo. Hindi ipagkakait sa iyo ni Lord ‘yan. ☺️
▪️You may be wondering na si Lord alam naman Niya lahat ng nasa puso natin kasi nga omniscient Siya; all-knowing Siya. Eh bakit kailangan pa nating sabihin sa Kanya lahat ng kailangan natin? —> GOD LOVES YOU SO MUCH THAT HE ALWAYS WANTS TO LISTEN TO WHAT YOU HAVE OR WANT TO SAY. ❤️ Even if alam na Niya ‘yung sasabihin mo. ☺️
- When your parents ask you how you are, feeling mo ba hindi nila alam ‘yung condition mo to begin with? Your parents know you better than we think they do.
- Your parents always know when something is wrong with you. WHAT MORE PA SI GOD? He knows us better than we think He does. So, ano pa bang itatago mo sa Kanya kung alam naman Niya? Might as well TALK TO HIM. ❤️
- Minsan kulang sa pansin si Lord. He will do everything to just catch our attention and kahit alam Niya naman kung anong sasabihin natin, gusto lang Niyang marinig ‘yung boses natin. Kasi tatay Siya eh. Anak Niya tayo diba?
- Suggestion: The next time you pray, try calling God the same endearment you call your dad. ☺️ Kasi tatay mo rin Siya. Regardless of what your relationship may be with your earthly father, our relationship with God is different from it. So, to make it more personal, try calling Him whatever name you want to call Him.
- Even though God already knows what’s happening in your life, gusto Niya nagkkwento ka pa rin sa Kanya. 😍 He appreciates it when you tell Him about your day. ❤️
- Minsan mayroon tayong notion na mali about prayer na dapat solemn or quiet BUT PRAYER SIMPLY JUST MEANS TALKING TO GOD. ☺️
- Kaysa sa magpost ka on social media ng lahat ng angst mo sa buhay, kay Lord mo na ‘yan ibigay. You can vent out everything to God. ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. ❤️ Tell Him about your fears, worries, hurts, pains, etc. HE CAN TAKE EVERYTHING BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU THAT MUCH. ❤️ Kahit anong naffeel mo, you can vent it out to Him.
- Another misconception natin about prayer, kailangan perfect ang lugar. Just like in the book of Nehemiah, hindi naman sinabi doon na nagtirik pa siya ng kandila nor did he kneel down sa mga church pews or nag quiet time siya sa mountain magisa or sa isanh super solemn na place. No, he did not do all those things, Anong ginawa lang niya? NAGDASAL LANG SIYA. ❤️
- PRAYER IS TALKING FROM YOUR HEART TO GOD’S HEART. ❤️
- Walang hindi marunong magdasal. The fact na kaya mong magsalita, kaya mong magdasal. Hindi kailangan mabulaklak ang mga salita dahil hindi mo naman kailangang magpa-impress pag nagsasalita ka kasi si Lord naman ‘yung kausap mo. ❤️ The only thing that pleases God is HONESTY. SO, JUST BE HONEST TO HIM.
- God created us differently, so iba-iba rin tayo ng ways of praying to Him.
- YOU CAN PRAY ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, ANY WORDS PWEDE MONG GAMITIN. ❤️
- Prayer is not as complicated as we think it is. ☺️
- Whenever you feel like there is something negative in the atmosphere, you can pray it away. It’s called SHIFTING ATMOSPHERES. ❤️
- Bilang anak ng Diyos, we are called to be thermostats not thermometers.
▪️Thermometers they adjust to the temperature. Bilang anak ng Diyos, hindi tayo itinawag na para mag blend in sa grupo. Example: Kung lahat ng friends mo down, at thermometer ka, magiging down ka rin. If lahat tao sa class mo, tsimoso at thermometer ka, magiging tsimoso ka rin. Itinawag tayo na maging thermostats. Thermostats mean you change the atmosphere. Whenever you are in crowd, group or gathering na feeling mo may negative, you can rebuke and not partner with the spirit and then you release blessings.
▪️There is power in words. SO, YOU CAN COUNTER IT. ☺️

6. FOCUS ON THE SINGLE THING GOD IS ASKING YOU TO DO. BE SINGLE-MINDED.
> Be focused; be laserlight focused.
> Nehemiah was so focused and determined to finish the wall despite of many oppositions.
> Unfortunately, in our generation (specifically the Millennials), we are notorious in multi-tasking. We want to do so many things all at the same time. We say “yes” to everything and to everyone. We grab every opportunity kasi feeling natin sayang ang chance. Even kapag kasama natin mga kaibigan natin, we multi-task also. We chat with other friends on Facebook kahit nasa kainan na tayo. Usually when we eat, palagi tayong may ginagawa on the side, either reading emails, doing PowerPoint presentations, responding to messages, etc.
> Our generation has a hard time focusing. Because everything is just within reach, we try to do things all at the same time which is not efficient.
> We sacrifice 3 things when we multi-task:
- The quality of what we do
- The time spent and
- The joy
> The opposite of multi-tasking is being SINGLE-MINDED.
> Bruce Lee once said: “The successful warrior is the average man, with laser-like focus.”
- So, whenever you’re in a class, or in a meeting or conference, do not think about what you will eat for dinner later or what happened to your day earlier. LISTEN TO WHOEVER IS TALKING.
- Whenever you’re reading a book, understand whatever you’re reading and don’t think about unnecessary things like the traffic you experienced.
- When you’re praying, don’t think about your client meeting in the afternoon, FOCUS ON GOD.
- When you’re eating, ENJOY YOUR MEAL.
- When you’re on vacation, DO NOT WORK. ENJOY THE PLACE AND THE PEOPLE YOU’RE WITH.
- When you’re out with friends, do not use your phone as much as possible because you’re there to enjoy their company.
- Whatever God has asked you to focus on at this point of your life, whether it is a personal dream, a career goal, a relationship effort, PUT ALL YOUR HEART INTO IT. ❤️
- If God has placed a desire in your heart, to write a book for example, THEN set aside an hour or two to add content to it. Or if God wants you to write a song then maybe you should start writing more on your journal.
- If God has started a dream in your heart to lead a lifegroup, then BE INTENTIONAL in reaching out to them.
- If God wants you to be an MDRT Qualifier, then don’t take your eyes off your goal. Don’t be distracted by your results no matter how far you might seem from your goal.
- If God wants you to build a business, then by all means, research about possible suppliers or business partners. Start thinking about based on how to get business notes.
- If God gave you a vision of climbing Mt. Everest, then maybe you should start training and partnering with people who are into mountaineering.
- If God wants you to focus on being healthy and losing weight, then probably you need to resolve to stop eating junkfoods and sweets.
- If God wants you to restore your broken relationships, then maybe you need to focus all your energy in constantly reaching out and spending time with them or that particular person.
- In short, whatever God is asking you to focus on, KEEP PUTTING ALL YOUR HEART INTO IT. ❤️
- ▪️And as you go through and focus on what God was placed in your heart, you will surely have oppositions BUT you should be thankful for those because it is the only way that you will build spiritual muscles. ☺️❤️
- ▪️Whenever we go to the gym or a training program, it will hurt. But after the hurting part, your muscles will recover and will rebuild and then the next time you go back to the gym, you will be lifting heavier weights para mag-tear ulit siyathen it will become bigger. It’s the same thing with your life, the ONLY WAY TO BUILD SPIRITUAL MUSCLES is through challenges and oppositions. So, be faithful always especially when you experience oppositions & challenges.
- ▪️Don’t copy what other people are doing. Because we all have different journeys. Just because your friend is doing great on something, doesn’t mean same na kayo ng gusto ni Lord na i-focus mo rin.
- 🔶 This is why PRAYER TIME is so important. Because you take your Word from your Commander, who is God. And if you don’t spend time with Him, how will you know the next instruction? You would just carelessly copy what others are doing. Pero iba-iba naman tayo ng pinapagawa ni Lord.
- 🔶 Whenever you obey God, He will cause breakthroughs to happen in different aspects of your life.
- ▪️Sometimes we are so scared to follow God in that particular thing He wants us to do, so we try to compensate by doing other things for Him kahit hindi naman iyon ang nirerequire Niyang gawin natin at that moment.
- 🔶 When God asks you to do that ONE THING na pinapagawa Niya sayo, you need to PUT ALL YOUR HEART INTO IT. Kaya nga single-mindedness.
- 🔶 God’s ways are really so different from our ways BUT we just have to KEEP ON TRUSTING HIM AND OBEYING HIM. ❤️

7. GOD WILL LEAD YOU TO VICTORY! HE WILL FINISH WHAT HE HAS STARTED IN YOU.
To recap how the story went:
- It started with a CRISIS. Then may nilagay na mission sa heart ni Nehemiah. And then nagpray and nagconsecrate si Nehemiah. Then opposition came. Then he prayed again. And then finally, victory! Natapos na. ☺️
> The longest season is the season of waiting.
> If God asks you to do something, HE WILL MAKE SURE TO BRING IT INTO COMPLETION because it is His promise.
🔹Philippians 1:6 says,
“He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
- Whatever specific role, mission, vision, etc. that God has placed in your heart, you need to trust na galing kay Lord ‘yan. He will be the One to empower you to finish the race.
🔹Luke 12:7 says,
“...the very hairs on your head are all numbered.”
- Lahat ng buhok natin BILANG ni Lord at may bilang bawat isa.
- Counted bilang lang.
- Numbered may bilang bawat isa.
So the reason why He gave us specific missions and purposes, is because it matches your desire.
- Whatever God has decided you to be, alam ni Lord that it fits exactly to the things He has given you.
🔹2 Corinthians 5:7 says,
“For we LIVE BY FAITH, not by sight.”
- So, whatever God has placed in your heart even if doesn’t make sense, just believe that BY FAITH tatapusin ni Lord ‘yan into completion. ❤️
- This also applies in your season of waiting. ❤️
- Don’t LIVE BY YOUR EMOTIONS but by faith. Mamuhay ka or you live it out.
- Stop caring what other people are saying about you nor what yourself is telling you nor by what you see. LIVE BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT. ❤️
