We are blessed to be joined by Bro. Nino Majerano, Bro. Rolan Misa, Father Darwin Gitgano and Bro. Ryan Mejillano, our CFD CFD National President, who will help guide us in deepening our faith and understanding of the Holy Spirit’s powerful work in our lives and in the Church.

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines – Episcopal Commission on the Laity (CBCP-ECLA) officially recognizes the Catholic Faith Defenders (CFD) as a Bona Fide Member of the Council of the Laity of the Philippines for 2026.

This recognition is a meaningful affirmation of CFD’s continuing mission to defend, explain, and live out the Catholic faith with fidelity, humility, and courage. As Catholic lay faithful, we remain committed to strengthening our internal unity, formation, and spiritual discipline, while also staying externally focused in our service to the Church, our communities, and the wider mission of evangelization.

May this recognition inspire every Catholic Faith Defender to deepen his or her commitment to truth, charity, and faithful service. We continue to stand with the Church in promoting sound Catholic teaching, defending the faith with love, and witnessing Christ in both word and action.
With grateful hearts, we thank the CBCP-ECLA for this recognition and we renew our dedication to the mission entrusted to the laity.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

RESOLUTION CANCELLING THE CFD NATIONAL CONVENTION (NATCON 2026)

In light of current circumstances and after careful deliberation, the leadership of Catholic Faith Defenders (CFD) formally announces the cancellation of the National Convention (NATCON 2026) originally scheduled on May 23–24, 2026 in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines.

This decision was not made lightly. While we share in the disappointment this may bring, we trust in God’s providence and remain steadfast in continuing our work through our charism.

Further updates and future plans will be communicated in due course.

We thank everyone for your understanding, continued support, and prayers.

In this sacred season of Lent, when the Lord gently calls each of us to come back to Him, we humbly invite you to spend a quiet and grace-filled evening in His presence.

The Catholic Faith Defenders – Diocese of Tagbilaran Chapter is inviting you to a Lenten Recollection, a simple gathering of prayer, reflection, and sincere return to God. This is not just an event, but a moment to pause, to reflect on His love shown on the Cross, and to allow His mercy to touch our hearts once again.

HABEMUS EPISCOPUM NOVUM!

With hearts full of joy and prayer, we from the Catholic Faith Defenders of Tagbilaran extend our heartfelt congratulations to Rev. Fr. Gerardo S**o Jr. , our newly appointed Bishop of Tagbilaran.

On this blessed feast of the Annunciation, we are reminded of Mary’s faithful “yes” to God’s call a response marked by humility, trust, and total surrender. In the same spirit, we thank God for your own “yes” to His mission in serving His Church.

May your ministry reflect that same openness to God’s will, courage in obedience, and unwavering faith.
