​𝐀 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐝: Born in 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, Bishop-elect S**o is a proud son of Bohol, having received his spiritual foundation at the 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲.

TRIVIA | Do you know why it has been a Catholic tradition since the old days to place blessed palms in their homes?

Catholics traditionally place Blessed Palms in their homes for spiritual reasons. In the Old Rite of Pre-55 Holy Week and the Pian Reform before the 1970s, these palms were specifically blessed with a specific prayer. The prayer invoked the grace of God’s blessing, protection from wickedness, and thwarting of demonic trickery. By displaying these palms, Catholics sought Divine favor and safeguarding for their households. The practice reflects deep reverence for Jesus Christ and His redemptive power.
However, this exorcistic use of this sacramental is no longer included in the blessing of Palms in the New Rite.
