A motherโs influence can shape the destiny of a child, a family, a nation, and even generations to come. Behind every great servant of God, there is often a praying, sacrificing, and faithful mother.
Moses became:
-A deliverer of Israel
-A lawgiver
-A prophet and leader
But before Moses stood before Pharaoh, he first rested in the arms of a godly mother named Jochebed.
Jochebed was not famous in the worldโs eyes. She was a slave woman in Egypt. Yet God used her faith, courage, and sacrifice to preserve the future deliverer of Israe๐
.
Motherโs Day is more than flowers, gifts, and greetings. It is a time to recognize the sacrifices, tears, prayers, and silent battles of mothers.
-Many mothers serve quietly:
-They cry secretly for their children
-Pray while everyone sleeps
-Sacrifice personal dreams for the family
Carry burdens nobody notices.
The Bible does not record many words from her, but her actions preached a powerful sermon. Behind the greatness of Moses stood a faithful mother who feared God.
Today, many children honor successful people, famous leaders, and wealthy individuals โ but sometimes forget the mother who:
Carried them in the womb
-Fed them
-Stayed awake when they were sick
-Prayed for them
-And sacrificed so they could survive
GOD HONORS MOTHERS WHO TRUST HIM
Some people would give everything just to hear their motherโs voice againot dishonor the woman who carried you. Even Jesus, while dying on the cross, cared for His mother (John 19:26โ27). If Jesus honored His mother, we should too.
CONCLUSION:
-Jochebed teaches us:
-Mothers are protectors
-Mothers are sacrificers
-Mothers are spiritual builders
Mothers are instruments of God
Behind many successful children is a faithful mother who prayed, endured, and sacrificed. The family must never forget the value of a mother.
