🙏 Happy Feast of Sts. Cosmas & Damian! 🌿

Today, we give thanks for the patronage of Sts. Cosmas and Damian, twin physician-martyrs who inspire our Franciscan life of service and healing. The Delegation of Sts. Cosmas & Damian (TOR — Philippines) was formally established in 2012, when the small TOR Philippine mission was raised to Delegation status and its statutes were approved.

Why Cosmas & Damian?
The choice of these saints as patrons for the new Philippine Delegation is deeply rooted in TOR history. In Rome, the ancient Basilica of Santi Cosma e Damiano was entrusted to the care of the Franciscan Third Order Regular in the early 1500s, and in 1512 this guardianship was made permanent. Since then, the basilica has been the TOR’s conventual church and the seat of its General Curia.

Because 2012 marked the 500th anniversary of the TOR’s custodianship of the Roman basilica, the Philippine Delegation adopted Sts. Cosmas & Damian as their patrons — linking their foundation with the global Franciscan tradition of service, healing, and charity.

May the intercession of Sts. Cosmas and Damian inspire us to live out the Gospel through compassion, humility, and generous service to the poor and sick.

Congratulations, Fr. Artemio!

The Franciscan Friars of the Third Order Regular (TOR) – Delegation of Sts. Cosmas and Damian joyfully congratulates Rev. Fr. Artemio Montejo delos Santos, TOR on the occasion of his Presbyteral Ordination held last Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Sto. Niño Mission Station, Lampanusan, Kalilangan, Bukidnon.

We thank the Lord for the gift of priesthood and for Fr. Artemio’s generous "yes" to serve the Church in the spirit of St. Francis. May your ministry be filled with grace, compassion, and faithfulness.

The Franciscan Friars of the Third Order Regular – Delegation of Sts. Cosmas & Damian – Philippines cordially invite you to the Presbyteral Ordination of Rev. Artemio Montejo delos Santos, TOR, of the Diocese of Pagadian.

This solemn celebration marks a significant milestone in his vocation and journey of faith.

The ordination will be conferred through the laying on of hands by Most Rev. Noel P. Pedregosa, D.D., Bishop of Malaybalay. It will take place on July 24, 2025, at 9:00 in the morning at Sto. Niño Mission Station, Lampanusan, Kalilangan, Bukidnon.

We humbly ask for your presence and prayers as we celebrate this moment of grace and thanksgiving. Your support and witness will be a blessing to Rev. Artemio as he begins his priestly ministry in the service of God and His Church.

This sacred celebration will take place on June 24, 2025, Tuesday, at 9:00 am at San Pedro Calungsod Parish in Kabacsanan, Iligan City. This important milestone marks Br. Nicardo’s deepening commitment to a life of service and devotion to God and His Church.

Br. Marjon will stay at the Our Lady of Fatima Friary - Cebu City, continuing his theological studies at Seminario Mayor de San Carlos in Cebu while Br. Ralph will stay at the Sto. Niño Friary - Davao City, starting his theological studies at St. Alphonsus Theological and Mission Institute in Davao.

Viva IL Papa Leo XIV🙏🙏🙏

HABEMUS PAPAM! | Robert Francis Cardinal Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, is from Chicago. He was ordained a priest for the Order of Saint Augustine in Rome on 19 June 1982. He became the Provincial of the Augustinians in Chicago in 1999, and in 2001, he became the Augustinian Prior General.

On November 3, 2014, Pope Francis appointed Prevost as apostolic administrator of the Diocese of Chiclayo and titular bishop of Sufar. He was consecrated Bishop on December 12 in that same year. He became Bishop of Chiclayo a year later. In 2019, he was appointed as a member of the Congregation for the Clergy. A year later, he was made a member of the Congregation for Bishops.

On 30 January 2023, he was made prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops. Later that same year, on 30 September, he was made a Cardinal by Pope Francis.

Bringing to the Papacy his expertise in Canon Law, and his years of Pastoral Experience in the Order of Saint Augustine, we hope and pray for a fruitful Papacy, and that Pope Leo XIV would bring us forward into the Modern Age, especially as we journey through the Jubilee Year.
