Today I had the privilege of sharing my story at the Baptist Church in Upper Inuman—how God called me to leave the American dream behind, move to Mindanao, and begin a ministry with the Subanen youth.

I am grateful for the opportunity to encourage others to listen when God calls and to step out in faith, wherever He leads.

“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.’”
— Isaiah 6:8 (ESV)

This past Sunday, we joyfully celebrated the accomplishments of our scholars at our annual School Year End Celebration. It was a milestone year for Salt and Light, with our largest graduating class ever—11 graduates from three different high schools, including our very first graduate from Tinaplan Integrated School.

We are also proud to share that 19 scholars finished the school year with honors, and 11 scholars successfully completed Junior High School and will advance to Senior High this coming school year.

We thank God for His faithfulness and for the hard work, perseverance, and dedication of each scholar. Their achievements are a testimony that with faith, opportunity, and determination, great things are possible.

Please join us in congratulating all of our scholars on their success this past school year!

“Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭3‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Wishing the Ligurian Evangelical Church a joyful 20th Thanksgiving Anniversary! 🎉
May you continue to be salt and light to the people of Ligurian, shining God’s love for many more years to come. ✨

Today, two of our Salt and Light house parents, one scholar, and I had the honor of joining the celebration. What a wonderful surprise to see that the guest speaker was my dear friend, Rev. Jefferson Dagondong! 🙌

And of course, as part of our tradition, we shared some sweet treats with all the smiling children—simple moments that bring so much joy. 🍬😊

My name is Jerick A. Andapo. I grew up in Barangay Titik, Sindangan.
I graduated from Tinaplan Intigrated School on March 30, 2026, as part of Batch 2025–2026. I started as a Salt and Light scholar in Grade 9, and for the past four years, I have been truly blessed to be part of this program.

One of my favorite memories as a scholar is our nightly devotions, which helped deepen my understanding of the Word of God. Through this scholarship, I have grown not only academically but also spiritually. It has strengthened my faith and allowed me to build meaningful friendships with my fellow scholars. It has also been a great help to my family, easing the burden of my school expenses and providing much-needed financial support.

As I move forward, I plan to pursue a college degree in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), trusting in God’s guidance in this next chapter of my life. I am truly thankful for the opportunity to be part of this program.

With a grateful heart, I thank the Salt and Light Di Binenturan Scholarship Program and especially to Sir W. Jeffrey Vaughn, for his continued support and generosity. God bless the entire Salt and Light family.

My name is Roxanne D. Andapo. I live in Barangay Titik, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte. I just graduated from Tinaplan Integrated School, and I have been a scholar since Grade 10 for three years.

One of my most meaningful memories as a scholar is leading devotions and sharing the Word of God. These experiences have helped me grow in confidence and strengthen my faith. I am truly grateful to be part of the Salt and Light Organization because it has helped me grow spiritually and become a better person.

For my college journey, I am planning to pursue a course in Information Technology (IT) because I am interested in technology and how it can improve people’s lives. With faith in God, I will do my best to reach my dreams, believing that one day I will succeed.

I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Salt and Light Organization, especially Sir W. Jeffrey Vaughn, for your support. Thank you so much. 🤍

My name is Jhonnjerie P. Lira, a proud Salt and Light scholar since Grade 8. For five years, I’ve been blessed to be part of this ministry while growing up in Barangay Titik, Sindangan.
On April 1, 2026, I graduated from Sindangan National High School as part of Batch 2025–2026—a milestone I could not have reached without God’s grace and the support of Salt and Light.

Congratulations to our five Salt and Light Scholars who graduated from Sindangan National High School today! 🎓

This milestone is more than just an achievement—it’s a powerful step toward the purpose God has for your life. As you move forward into this next season, remember that you are called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world wherever you go. Walk boldly in faith, serve with humility, and let your life shine as a reflection of Christ in all that you do.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16

We are proud of you and excited to see how God will use each of you for His glory. ✨
