We believed that JESUS CHRIST IS GOD EMBODIED. The Scriptures teach a life of "holiness."

SCRIPTURE/BIBLE
We believed the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments in their entirety, to be the verbally inspired Word of God, INERRANT and INFALLIBLE in the original writing, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of the world, and preserved by God throughout the ages to be the DIVINE AND FINAL AUTHORITY FOR ALL FAITH AND LIFE. GOD
We believed in ONE GOD, Creator of all th

ings, infinite, perfect, and eternally existing IN THREE PERSONS: FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT. Born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a sacrifice sufficient for the sins of the world, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended into heaven where He serves as our Mediator and Intercessor with the Father until He returns at the end of this age. THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believed that the present ministry of the Holy Spirit is to REVEAL THE GLORY OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST; to convict individuals of sin; to regenerate the sinner who believes; and to indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for Godly living and service. SALVATION
We believed that the SHED BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST AND HIS RESURRECTION PROVIDE THE ONLY GROUND FOR SALVATION; that salvation IS BY GOD’S GRACE ALONE, complete and eternal; and that only as one receives this GIFT OF GOD THROUGH PERSONAL FAITH IN CHRIST IS ONE BORN OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND MADE A CHILD OF GOD. SANCTIFICATION
We believed that Sanctification is by GRACE a separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God. By the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to know more JESUS CHRIST, HIS HOLINESS, and GRACE and be like Him: "Be ye holy, for I am holy." Sanctification is realized in the believer by recognizing his identification with Christ in His death and resurrection, and by the faith reckoning daily upon the fact of that union, and by offering every faculty continually to the dominion of the Holy Spirit. SACRAMENTS
We believed that WATER BAPTISM is by immersion as commanded by the Scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized. I believed that HOLY COMMUNION is the Lord's Supper, consisting of the elements: bread and the fruit of the vine, is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ, a memorial of his suffering and death, and a prophecy of His second coming and is enjoined on all believers "till He come!". These are sacraments to be observed by the Church during the present age. HUMAN NATURE
We believed that man was created in the image of God and that his subsequent WILLFUL SIN RESULTED IN PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL DEATH and in the NECESSITY OF A NEW BIRTH FOR SALVATION. THE CHURCH
We believed that the Church is US (declaring that Jesus Christ is the Messiah), WE ARE THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. ALL PERSONS WHO HAD RE-BIRTH / SPIRITUAL RE-GENERATION through saving faith in Jesus Christ and have therefore become PART OF THE BODY OF CHRIST (not members) of which HE (Jesus Christ) IS THE HEAD. Furthermore, I believed that the fellowship of the believers of Jesus Christ is through 1. Love one another
2. Pray for one another
3. Encourage one another
4. Declaring the goodness of God
5. Studying His words
6. Singing praises
7. Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth and continuously knowing Jesus Christ. CHRIST’S RETURN
We believed in the imminent, bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this expectation should encourage the believer TO LEAD A GODLY and FRUITFUL LIFE. ETERNAL LIFE / JUDGMENT
We believed in the bodily resurrection of all the dead: of the BELIEVER to EVERLASTING BLESSEDNESS AND ETERNAL LIFE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD, and of the UNBELIEVER (people who don’t believe and put faith in Jesus Christ) to JUDGMENT AND EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT APART FROM GOD. GREAT COMMISSION
GO (preach the good news of salvation offered by God through the Lord Jesus Christ), MAKE DISCIPLES (persons who also believe and put their faith in Jesus Christ, able to share God’s message of salvation and make a disciple of Jesus Christ also)
BAPTIZE THEM IN WATER THROUGH IMMERSION IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, and lastly
TEACHING AND HELP THEM TO OBEY HIS TEACHINGS THROUGH HIS GRACE.

The Heart of Christmas: A Threefold Message

The true meaning of Christmas isn't found under a tree, but in the profound reality of Christ’s birth. This sermon focuses on three lifechanging pillars

1. A Message of Hope: Christmas proves that God keeps His promises. Even in our darkest seasons, the arrival of Jesus, the Light of the World, signals that a new day is dawning and our future is secure in Him.

2. A Message of Peace: Through the Prince of Peace, we find more than just the absence of conflict. We find a quiet heart and a restored relationship with God that remains steady even when the world is chaotic.

3. A Message of God’s Presence: The miracle of Immanuel (God with us) means we are never alone. God didn't just watch us from a distance, He stepped into our world to walk beside us in our joy and our pain.

Christmas is the celebration of a God who comes near, bringing a hope that sustains us and a peace that guards us. He is always with us! Immanuel! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Unity. Maturity. Ministry.
These three go hand in hand in a healthy Christian life. We grow stronger when we walk together, we grow deeper when we allow God to shape our character, and we grow wider when we serve others with the gifts He has given us.

What a blessing to witness leaders, pastors, and workers gather with one heart and one vision. The PICMMA (Partners in Christ Ministers in Mission Alliance Inc) Convention reminded us that unity, maturity, and ministry are not just themes they are our calling.

Unity reminds us that we are one body in Christ, different parts, but one purpose. “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” Psalm 133:1

Maturity calls us to grow beyond our comfort zones and become more like Jesus each day. “Until we all reach unity in the faith… and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:13

Ministry is our response to God’s grace. We serve not to be seen, but to make Christ known. “Serve one another humbly in love.” Galatians 5:13

May we continue to build each other up, grow in Christlike character, and serve with joyful hearts for His glory.

LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father,

In the midst of this storm "Uwan/Fung Wong", we come before You in faith and humility. Just as Jesus calmed the winds and the waves with His words, “Peace, be still,” we ask You, Lord, to speak peace over our hearts and our situation tonight.

When fears and doubts rise like crashing waves, remind us that You are greater than any storms. Shelter us under Your mighty hand, and fill us with the assurance that You are in control.

Lord Jesus, calm every anxieties within us, bring stillness to our troubled spirits, and let Your peace reign over our minds and homes. We trust in Your power, Your love, and Your perfect plan.

Thank You, Lord, for being our refuge and our calm in every storm.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

-please share-

Blessed Sunday everyone! Mga ka-faith!

"Be still, and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10

This Sunday, God reminds you to pause and rest in His presence. In the noise of deadlines, worries, and responsibilities, He whispers, “Be still.” It doesn’t mean doing nothing but it means trusting fully that even when you don’t see the outcome, God is already at work behind the scenes.

Sometimes, our hearts get tired from trying to control everything, our plans, our relationships, our future and aspirations. But when you surrender your battles to God, peace begins to fill your heart. His timing may not be yours, but it is always perfect.

So today, breathe deeply. Let go of anxiety, and let God take the lead. He is your refuge, strength, and ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Blessed Sunday everyone!

It is God’s gentle reminder that He renews our strength when we wait upon Him.

Lay down your worries, breathe in His grace, and rise with faith for the new week ahead.

‘But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles.’ – Isaiah 40:31”

HOUSE OR HALL?
Understanding the Church as the Body of Christ
Article ni Rhoderick Alcaide De Vera

Maraming nagtataka:

The Greek word ekklesia (ἐκκλησία) literally means “assembly” or “gathering” of those who are called out. Ginagamit na ang salitang ito long before the Church founded by Christ, both in secular Greek society and in Jewish Scriptures.

Classical Greek / Secular Usage (5th–4th century BC):
In ancient Athens, ekklesia referred to the political assembly of citizens—a governing body where citizens voted on laws, war, and policy.

📖 Thucydides, History of the Peloponnesian War (431 BC) – describes the ekklesia of Athens meeting to decide military strategy (Book 1, Ch. 87).

📖 Herodotus, Histories (5th century BC) – uses ekklesia to describe civic assemblies of the people.

📖 Aristotle, Politics (4th century BC, Book 4, 1298b) – defines the ekklesia as the deliberative body of the city-state (polis).

👉 Here, ekklesia clearly means a regular assembly of free citizens called out for public decision-making—not religious at all.

Septuagint / Jewish Usage (3rd–2nd century BC):
The Jewish translators of the Old Testament into Greek used ekklesia to translate the Hebrew word qahal (assembly/congregation).

Example: Deuteronomy 9:10 (LXX) – Israel assembled at Sinai is called an ekklesia.

When Jesus said, “On this rock I will build my ekklesia” (Matt. 16:18), His hearers already knew the word’s meaning from political Athens (assembly of citizens) and from the Septuagint (assembly of God’s people). Kaya malinaw: ekklesia never meant a building—it always meant a people, a gathered community.

Matthew 18:20 – “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
Acts 2:42–47 and 1 Corinthians 14:26 show the early church meeting in homes and public courts, focused on fellowship, doctrine, prayer, and breaking of bread.
1 Corinthians 12:27 kjv — “Now ye are the body of Christ and individually members of it.”
Note on pronouns in the KJV:
Thou / Thee = singular (one person);
Ye / You = plural (more than one person). So, “ye” here is plural—Paul is addressing the entire congregation, not an individual.

HOUSE OR HALL REFUTATION
This refutation addresses common claims that small groups or house gatherings cannot be considered “church” and defends a balanced, biblical understanding.

1. Small Groups as Biblical Expressions of the Church

2. Focus on Small Groups: Problem or Potential?
Matthew 18:20 – “Where two or three are gathered in My Name, there am I among them.”

❌ Maling konklusyon.

4. Unity in Diversity: House or Hall?
Galatians 3:28 – “There is neither Jew nor Greek… you are all one in Christ.”

5. Limitations of Small Groups?

6. Leadership and the Lord’s Supper “Hindi pinamumunuan ang small group tulad ng church… hindi rin nito kayang ipagdiwang ang Lord’s Supper.”
❌ Maling pahayag.

Balanced Conclusion

✅ Organized churches with large gatherings are good—lalo na sa oversight, visible witness, at mas malawak na unity.
✅ Small groups are equally important—lalo sa discipleship, fellowship, prayer, and life-on-life ministry.
Sa Biblia, house churches were real churches.
Acts 2:46 – “They continued to meet together in the temple courts and broke bread in their homes.”
