Sunday Recap – May 3
Last Sunday, Pastor Eboy Ching shared a powerful message on “What It Takes to Be A Disciple.”
We were reminded that discipleship is more than simply believing in Jesus—it is a daily commitment to surrender, obey, and follow Him wholeheartedly. True discipleship calls us to lay down our own desires and allow Christ to lead every area of our lives.
Highlights:
• The Call to Discipleship – Discipleship is a divine calling that requires total surrender
• Deny Yourself – Surrender the throne of your heart and choose God’s will over your own
• Take Up Your Cross – Follow Christ with perseverance, sacrifice, and faithfulness each day
• Follow Me – True discipleship means imitating Jesus in our words, actions, and character
• A Commitment to Imitate – Discipleship is not admiration from afar, but becoming more like Christ
• A Commitment with a Cost – Following Jesus requires sacrifice and choosing His kingdom above comfort
• A Commitment that is not Optional – The call to follow Jesus is for every believer and is at the very heart of discipleship
In a world that often encourages comfort and self-centered living, Jesus calls us into something deeper—a life fully surrendered to Him. Though discipleship comes with a cost, the reward is a life filled with purpose, joy, and closeness with Christ.
