ALAM MO BA...
There's a lifeguard para sa mga swimmers in the Olympics? Yes! Meron. And i read someone jokingly commented "it is the world's most useless job". Their job is to rescue the best and the most competitive swimmers in the world? To rescue them? Malabo daw mangyari iyon.
Welp, you never know.
My son, Rohi, is also a swimmer, and also competes. Everytime may swimming competition siya, i am always there, and mayroon din talagang lifeguards. And again, their job is to rescue the swimmers if ever may hindi inaasahang mangyari to them, like, muscle cramps, or exhaustion, or whatever. The thing is, even the best swimmers can encounter such things. So, even the best swimmer needs a lifeguard or a rescue.
The reason why i wrote this is because i want to remind everyone that EVEN THE MOST SKILLED CAN FAIL, EVEN THE MIGHTIEST CAN FALL, EVEN A LEADER NEEDS A LEADER, EVEN A PASTOR NEEDS A PASTOR. OUR STRENGTH, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND WISDOM ARE NOT AN ASSURANCE OF BEING INFALLIBLE OR INVINCIBLE.
SOMEONE NEEDS SOMEONE.
In fact, the Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12...
Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
This teaches us that we can't run alone. It's hard to fight alone. It doesn't matter how strong, how wise, how well trained or skilled you are, YOU NEED SOMEONE to support you, guide you, protect you, remind you, correct you and even to rebuke you - NEVER FORGET THAT.
Pero kapatid, higit sa lahat o ang pinakamahalaga, ang DIYOS ang ating kasa-kasama sa ating mga laban o karera. He is our rescue; our Lifeguard that walks on water. Kaya naman, in whatever battles in life, number one, WE NEED GOD. If He is with us, no one can stand against us. Number two, we need someone. We need someone to support us, guide us, protect us, remind us, correct us, and even to rebuke us.
