-Repentance is necessary
-Repent or Perish
🟢1. Repentance Heals the heart
✅A. God Cleanses Our Hearts When We Repent
*Colossians 3:5 reminds us to put to death our sinful nature.
*God gives us a renewed heart as we repent.
*Colossians 3:10 and Ephesians 4:24 teach us to put on the new self, created in righteousness and holiness.
✅B. The Spirit of God Dwells with the Repentant
Ezekiel 36:26: God promises, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you."
🟢2. Repentance Breaks stronghold
✅A. Freedom from the Bo***ge of Sin
*Acts 3:19: "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out."
✅B. Rest for Our Souls in the Presence of the Lord
*Through repentance, we experience peace, restoration, and renewed fellowship with God.
🟢3. Repentance Releases God's Favor
✅A. A Repentant Heart Receives Forgiveness
*1 John 1:9: If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us.
*Forgiveness removes the hindrances that block God's favor in our lives.
✅B. God Cleanses Us by the Blood of Christ
*As we repent, God cleanses us and restores us through the precious blood of Jesus.
🟢4. Repentance Cancels Judgment or Punishment
✅A. Repentance Reveals the Mercy of God
*God's call to repentance is an expression of His love and mercy.
✅B. God Forgives Those Who Repent
*Jonah 3:4-10 shows how God spared Nineveh when the people repented and turned from their wicked ways.
🙌God's mercy is available to all who repent. Repentance brings healing to the heart, breaks strongholds, releases God's favor, and turns away judgment. Let us humbly come before God, repent of our sins, and experience His forgiveness, restoration, and abundant grace. Amen. 🙏❤️
