Sto. Rosario Parish Pacita came together as one parish family for our Advent Recollection, graciously presided by Rev. Fr. Christian B. Pajutan with the theme β€œAdvent: God Preparing for Christmas.” We took a step back from our busy schedules and everyday concerns to spend time in prayer, listen to God’s Word, and reflect quietly as a community. The recollection reminded us in simple and meaningful ways to deepen our faith, hold on to hope, and show love through our daily actions. As one parish, we were encouraged to prepare our hearts not only for the joy of celebrating Christ’s birth at Christmas but also to welcome Him more fully into our lives each day as we continue our journey of faith.
We give our heartfelt thanks to Fr. Christian for guiding us with wisdom, warmth, and clarity, and for helping us better understand the true meaning of Advent as we journey toward Christmas as one parish family.πŸ™

COMMISSIONING OF THE PARISH PEER COUNSELING MINISTRY

The Peer Counseling Ministry of Sto. Rosario Parish which aims to cater the Mental Health concerns of our Parishioners through spiritual guidance and referrals were blessed and commissioned last June 9, 2024.

The rites of commissioning was presided by Rev. Fr. Jorge Seldon Coronado , E.V. The ministry is composed of licensed psychology graduates and registered guidance counselors.

Let us pray for the success of these counselors. May the Holy Spirit guide them in serving others.

In Catholic churches and homes, one of the most popular images of Jesus is the image of the Sacred Heart. It is the image of God’s love revealed in the pierced heart of His Son. It is the symbol of a love that conquers sin and transcends death, the symbol of the One who loved us to the end. Last June 7, 2024 Sto. Rosario Parish with its Apostleship of Prayer celebrated the feast of Sacred Heart of Jesus.

PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

Most sacred Heart of Jesus, pour down Your blessings abundantly on Your holy Church, on the Supreme Pointiff, and on all the clergy. Grant perseverance to the just, convert sinners, enlighten infidels, bless our parents, friends, and benefactors, assist the dying, free the souls in purgatory, and extend over all hearts the sweet empire of Your love.

BEAUTY, PURITY AND HOLINESS (2/2)

For Catholics in the Philippines, May is devoted to honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary. The month-long celebration in which flowers are offered and the Holy Rosary is recited to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary is called FLORES DE MARIA (Flowers of Mary). Here in Pacita Complex 1, it has been 42 years since the inception of this lovely tradition.

On May 1, 2024, the festivities formally opened with the coronation of the image of Our Lady by the 2024 Hermano Y Hermana Mayor, Engr. Ed and Mrs. Hazel Landicho.

The month-long Flores de Maria de Pacita culminated on May 31, 2024, with the Grand Procession of Our Lady, together with the daily hermanos and hermanas, and the 2024 Hermano y Hermana Mayor, Engr. Ed & Mrs. Hazel Landicho. At the culminating mass, the floral offering was led by the hermanos and hermanas offering flowers in the form of symbols of the titles of Our Lady. The Culminating Mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Jorge Seldon V. Coronado, E.V.
