If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
(John 14:15, NASB)

Because Jesus loves the Father, he is obedient to what God directs him to say and do (John 12:49). If we love him, we will obey him, too.

Love for Christ is inseparable from obedience (Lk 6:46; 1Jn 5:2, 3)

• Jesus is framing love as allegiance. The challenge for the believer is to prioritize Christ’s standards over their own desires, even when they don’t "feel" particularly pious.

• It’s not "obey me so that I will love you," but rather "because you love me, you will naturally want to obey." It challenges Christians to move past a Saving faith into an active, transformative lifestyle.

Happy Birthday Rev. Jose Aquino!

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
— Galatians 6:9

Matthew 4:18-22 NLT
18 One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers—Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew—throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living.
19 Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”
20 And they left their nets at once and followed him.
21 A little farther up the shore he saw two other brothers, James and John, sitting in a boat with their father, Zebedee, repairing their nets. And he called them to come, too. 22 They immediately followed him, leaving the boat and their father behind.

• Following Christ often requires "leaving" something behind—whether it's a specific sin, a source of false security, or an old identity—to make room for the new.
• God doesn't want to erase your personality or your talents; He wants to redeem and repurpose them for His mission.
• God does not call the qualified; He qualifies the called. Willingness and availability are more important to Him than a high-status resume.

As we enter this new year, let us lay aside our anxiety and be joyful, approaching every situation with thanksgiving because Jesus is our Living Hope. While the future remains uncertain to us, we find rest in the peace that transcends understanding, knowing that our Sovereign God is already there. By bringing every need to Him in prayer, we lean into the certainty that He is in total control and completely trustworthy; He is the Faithful God who never leave us nor forsake us.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
— Philippians 4:6-7

A Blessed New Year to each one of us!

Beyond the season of lights and exchanging of gifts, the real message of Christmas is the profound gift of reconciliation through Jesus Christ. It is the moment God entered human history, not as a distant ruler, but as a Savior to bridge the gap between humanity and Himself. The most important gift one shouldn't miss is the eternal life through Christ alone, in Christ alone, which transforms Christmas from a yearly holiday into a permanent state of peace and hope for the soul.

The essence of this gift is perfectly captured in the Gospel of John:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
— John 3:16

Efeso 5:8-10
Magandang Balita Biblia
