🙏 Devotional Invocation to Diwatang Sirinan

River Diwata of Flow and Current — Bearer of Cleansing, Blessing, and Ancestral Return

O Diwatang Sirinan,
Guardian of the Rivers,
Mother of Clear Waters,
Keeper of the Flow of Life—

This morning, we come before You
with hearts ready to receive
Your grace and guidance.

In the movement of Your waters,
we hear Your call
inviting us to return again
to the path planted by our ancestors.

Sirinan, Diwata of Flow,
Let us feel the gentle touch
of Your waters—
waters that wash away the old,
waters that remove burdens,
waters that set the spirit free.

Cleanse us
from all confusion, estrangement, or forgetting—
and with every sweep of Your current,
restore the memory within us
that we are children of our race,
inheritors of native wisdom.

O Diwatang Sirinan,
Cast away the obstacles
that hinder our steps,
and fill our hearts
with clarity of purpose,
like a clear river
flowing without hesitation.

May the strength of Your current
guide us back
to the path of honor,
the way of unity,
and the home of our beginnings.

Bless us, Sirinan,
in our journey of return—
and consecrate our steps
that we, too, may become vessels
of light, peace, and rootedness.

Diwatang Sirinan, bearer of the eternal flow—
may You also flow through our lives.

To You we offer our reverence.
To You we lift our call.
To You we offer our return.

Flowing Spirit, Guide Us.

🌙 Saka Era Revival: Celebrating 5,000 Years of Filipino Agricultural Heritage🌾

📅 Mark the Date:

May 17, 2026 – The first New Moon after the onset of the rainy season. This is not just another day—it’s the Filipino Agricultural New Year, the start of Saka Year 5000!

✅ What is the Saka Era?

Long before January 1 became our “New Year,” our ancestors followed the rhythms of nature. The Saka Era honors the agricultural cycle, starting with the first rains and new moon in May–June. It’s a time for:

* Planting and renewal
* Rituals for fertility and abundance
* Harmony with land and water

Why 5000 SE?

Agriculture in the Philippines began around 3,000 BCE, making 2026 the 5,000th year of this tradition. This is our chance to reconnect with the wisdom of our ancestors.

Living Tradition: Obando Festival

Did you know? The Obando Fertility Dance Festival (May 17–19) is a Christianized continuation of ancient fertility rites. Devotees dance for children, harvest, and prosperity—just as our ancestors did to honor the Diwata of land and water.

🌙 How to Celebrate the Saka New Year

* Offerings:Rice grains, coconut water, betel nut, flowers.
* Invocation: Call upon Bathala, Diwata, and Anito for balance and abundance.
* Community Sharing: Dance, music, and storytelling about heritage.

✅ Let’s revive the Saka Era!
This May 17, light a candle, make an offering, and honor the land that sustains us.

Invocation to Bulan La Mogoaw

O Bulan La Mogoaw,
Goddess of the Silver Path,
Keeper of the Moon’s eternal dance,
You who weave the threads of yesterday into the dawn of tomorrow—
We call upon You as the Bridge of Time.

In Your waxing light, we remember beginnings;
In Your waning glow, we honor endings;
Through Your fullness, we embrace the present moment,
Where all worlds meet in harmony.

Doula of the old year,
You have cradled our hopes and labors in the womb of night;
Midwife of the new,
You now deliver the promise of rebirth into the arms of day.

Guide us across the river of change,
That we may walk with courage from shadow to light,
From what was, into what shall be.
Bless our steps with rhythm,
Bless our hearts with peace,
Bless our spirits with the wisdom of cycles eternal.

Bulan La Mogoaw, Bridge of Time,
Open the gates of transformation,
That we may rise renewed beneath Your sacred glow.
So let it be.

Bulon La Mogoaw, Mother of the Moon and Keeper of Balance,
In your gentle light, I seek refuge.
My heart is heavy with sorrow, my spirit burdened with fear.
Let your calm embrace wash away my pain,
And guide me toward peace and renewal.

Lemfuwas ne t’deng — may life be free, may my soul emerge from darkness.
Heal my wounds, restore my strength,
And let your light lead me back to joy.

Diwatang Makidepat: The Flow Between Worlds

Did you know that Diwatang Makidepat is more than just a water deity? She is the guardian of rivers and seas, yet her influence reaches the mountain ranges of Sierra Madre, where life begins.

Makidepat embodies balance:
- Water and Mountain – sustaining life and guiding souls across the sacred flow.
- Male and Female Essence – a divine harmony of strength and nurturing, reminding us that healing comes from unity.

In her dual nature, Makidepat teaches us that life and death, mountain and sea, masculine and feminine are not opposites—they are interconnected forces that keep the world in harmony.

Honor Makidepat today by offering clean water and a prayer of gratitude for the flow of life and healing.

Formal Prayer to Diwatang Makidepat

O Diwatang Makidepat, Guide of Justice and Harmony,
Teach me today what is proper and just,
What is right and fitting, what is suitable and worthy,
What is venerable, decent, and adorable in Your sight.

Instill in me the faith of tiwala—
To see beyond emptiness and trust in unseen abundance.
Though my pocket is empty, Your grace makes me spend,
And in faith, miracles shall unfold.

Guard my steps against harm and deceit,
Strengthen my resolve when others mock my trust.
Let my hands be instruments of help,
Rather than seeking mercy from humankind.

My help is in You alone,
For only You can satisfy all my needs.
Be my Guide and my Guard,
And let every decision I make lead to goodness,
Never to failure or despair.

So be it.

Structured Affirmation
Repeat daily or during meditation:

1. I walk in the guidance of Diwatang Makidepat.
2. I choose what is just, right, and fitting in all my actions.
3. My faith is *tiwala*—I trust in unseen blessings.
4. Though I have nothing, abundance flows through me.
5. I give help freely, without expectation of return.
6. I am protected from harm and guided toward success.
7. My decisions are wise, and my path is blessed.
