The people stayed there watching. As for the leaders, they jeered at him with the words, 'He saved others, let him save himself if he is the Christ of God, the Chosen One.' The soldiers mocked him too, coming up to him, offering him vinegar, and saying, 'If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.' Above him there was an inscription: 'This is the King of the Jews'.
One of the criminals hanging there abused him: 'Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us as well.' But the other spoke up and rebuked him. 'Have you no fear of God at all?' he said. 'You got the same sentence as he did, but in our case we deserved it: we are paying for what we did. But this man has done nothing wrong.'
Then he said, 'Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.' He answered him, 'In truth I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.'

Nagtindog didto ang mga tawo nga nagtan-aw, samtang nagbugalbugal kaniya ang mga kadagkoan sa mga Judiyo, nga nag-ingon, “Giluwas niya ang uban, paluwasa siya sa iyang kaugalingon kon siya mao ang Mesiyas nga pinili sa Dios!” Gibugalbugalan usab siya sa mga sundalo; miduol sila ug gitunolan siyag bino, ug miingon, “Kon ikaw ang hari sa mga Judiyo luwasa ang imong kaugalingon!” Sa ibabaw sa krus gisulat nila kining mosunod: “KINI SIYA MAO ANG HARI SA MGA JUDIYO.”
Unya, usa sa mga kriminal nga nagbitay didto mibugalbugal kaniya, “Dili ba ikaw mao man ang Mesiyas? Luwasa ang imong kaugalingon ug kami!” Apan gibadlong siya sa iyang kauban nga nag-ingon, “Wala ka ba mahadlok sa Dios? Kita ania dinhi gisilotan sa mao rang silot. Apan ang silot natong duha angay kanato, kay gisilotan man kita sibo sa atong nabuhat, apan siya walay sala.” Ug miingon siya kang Jesus, “Jesus, hinumdomi intawon ako kon maghari ka na!”
Miingon si Jesus kaniya, “Sultihan ko ikaw, karong adlawa adto ka sa Paraiso uban kanako.”

Some Sadducees -- those who argue that there is no resurrection -- approached him and they put this question to him, 'Master, Moses prescribed for us, if a man's married brother dies childless, the man must marry the widow to raise up children for his brother. Well then, there were seven brothers; the first, having married a wife, died childless. The second and then the third married the widow. And the same with all seven, they died leaving no children. Finally the woman herself died. Now, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be, since she had been married to all seven?'
Jesus replied, 'The children of this world take wives and husbands, but those who are judged worthy of a place in the other world and in the resurrection from the dead do not marry because they can no longer die, for they are the same as the angels, and being children of the resurrection they are children of God. And Moses himself implies that the dead rise again, in the passage about the bush where he calls the Lord the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. Now he is God, not of the dead, but of the living; for to him everyone is alive.'

May mga Saduseo nga miduol kang Jesus. (Kini sila mao ang nag-ingon nga ang mga patay dili mabanhaw.) Nangutana sila kaniya, “Magtutudlo, nagsulat si Moises niining balaod alang kanato: ‘Kon ang usa ka tawo mamatay ug may asawa nga nahibilin apan walay anak, ang igsuon niadtong tawhana kinahanglan mangasawa sa biyuda aron manganak sila alang sa namatay.’ May pito ka magsuong lalaki, ang kamagulangan naminyo ug namatay nga walay anak. Unya ang ikaduhang igsuon nangasawa sa biyuda, ingon man ang ikatulo, hangtod nga ang pito ka magsuon nakapangasawa sa babaye ug nangamatay silang tanan nga walay anak. Sa katapusan ang babaye maoy namatay. Karon, sa adlaw nga banhawon na ang mga patay, kinsa man siyang asawa nga silang tanan nakapangasawa man kaniya?”
Si Jesus mitubag kanila, “Ang mga lalaki ug babaye niining panahona nagminyoay, apan ang mga lalaki ug babaye nga angay banhawon ug magkinabuhi sa umaabot nga panahon dili na magminyoay. Sama sila sa mga anghel ug dili na mamatay. Mga anak sila sa Dios kay gibanhaw man sila. Ug gitin-aw gayod ni Moises ang pagmatuod nga banhawon ang mga patay. Sa bahin nga nagsaysay mahitungod sa sampinit nga nagdilaab, naghisgot siya mahitungod sa Ginoo nga mao ‘ang Dios ni Abraham, Dios ni Isaac, ug Dios ni Jacob.’ Kini nagpasabut nga Siya mao ang Dios sa mga buhi ug dili sa mga patay kay alang kaniya ang tanan buhi.”

Then he went into the Temple and began driving out those who were busy trading, saying to them, 'According to scripture, my house shall be a house of prayer but you have turned it into a bandits' den.' He taught in the Temple every day. The chief priests and the scribes, in company with the leading citizens, tried to do away with him, but they could not find a way to carry this out because the whole people hung on his words.

As he drew near and came in sight of the city he shed tears over it and said, 'If you too had only recognised on this day the way to peace! But in fact it is hidden from your eyes! Yes, a time is coming when your enemies will raise fortifications all round you, when they will encircle you and hem you in on every side; they will dash you and the children inside your walls to the ground; they will leave not one stone standing on another within you, because you did not recognise the moment of your visitation.'
