If the church ever hurt you, I pray you find healing in the heart of Jesus—because that pain did not come from Him.
The church was never meant to be a museum for the perfect, but a hospital for the broken, the weary, and the imperfect. It’s supposed to be a place where grace is lived out, not where wounds are created.
And yes—many have been hurt by people who were meant to lead with compassion. But even when people fail, the heart of Jesus remains gentle, faithful, and full of mercy. His love restores what others broke, and His presence heals wounds that others ignored.
So if you’re broken, go to church anyway.
If you’re anxious, go to church anyway.
If you’re struggling with addiction, shame, or unforgiveness—go to church anyway.
Not because the church is perfect, but because Jesus is.
And He meets you in community, in worship, in the gathering of His people.
Don’t let the failure of man make you walk away from the God who still calls you home.
Your story doesn’t end with church hurt.
God has a place for you—a church where you can breathe again, heal again, trust again. A community that will love you, pray for you, and walk with you the way Jesus intended.
There is a right church for you.
There is a community that reflects His heart.
There is a safe place where you will grow, be restored, and belong.
So don’t give up on the church—because Jesus hasn’t given up on you.
In Him, there is grace for every wound, hope for every burden, and mercy for every heart longing to be made whole 🥹🫶🏻
