James is dealing with believers who are comfortable with their passive faith.

KEY POINTS:
1. Useful or useless
2. Justified by works
3. Dead Faith

Justification by works vs. Faith alone
- While Paul focuses on salvation before God through faith, James focuses on the VALIDATION of that faith before men.

Good works are the evidence of a genuine, living faith. Demonstrated through actions.

"Join us this May as we devote ourselves to the body of Christ, building one another up for His glory. Knowing that the faith He has given must bear fruit and proof."

James 2:17-So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. โ€œYou have faith and I have works.โ€ Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

Bible Text: Acts 5:1-11

Contrived acts are artificial, forced or deliberately created behaviors, scenarios or experiences designed to achieve specific purpose rather than arising naturally.

CORRUPTION (Bible Meaning) - is a state of moral decay, spiritual rebellion and the perversion of justice resulting from sin.

Context: Ananias and Sapphira aimed to gain a reputation by copying otherโ€™s generosity. (Chapter 4)

- โ€œYung akala mong naglilingkod ka, tapos sa harap ng Diyos, sinungaling ka pala.โ€

- โ€œKung ano ang pagka tawag sayo, yun ang ipamuhay mo. Avoid worldly thoughts.โ€

- โ€œHindi ka nga namatay sa sakit, namatay ka naman sa pangungupit.โ€

- โ€œHindi ka nga namatay sa sakit, hindi ka nga namatay sa pangungupit, pero namatay ka naman sa inggit.โ€

THREE LESSONS
LESSON 1 - โ€œAvoid deception , DO what the Lord says, and AVOID what He forbade.โ€
