PRAYER MEETING: MESSAGE RECAP

Title: Justification Resulting to Righteousness
Text: Romans 4:1-8
Key Verse: “For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬ ‭ESV‬‬

*Does God's forgiveness covers all of our sins?
*Is it true that even the future sin will be forgiven?

ACT OF PROVING
- Justification is the act of proving, explaining or supporting a statement, action or belief as right, reasonable or necessary.

DECLARED RIGHTEOUS BY GOD
- Justification is that act of God by which by sinner, who is responsible for his guilt and is under condemnation that believes in Christ, is pronounced just and righteous, or acquitted, by God the judge.

How justification works?
1. Not by works but by grace. (Romans 4:4-6)
2. Abraham believed by God. (Romans 4:3)
3. Faith credited as righteousness. (Genesis 15:6)

Main Lessons:
* It is very important to understand that we are forgiven.
* Our works are nothing compares to Jesus already accomplished.
* Salvation is God’s work.

Conclusions:
*Our standing before God is not a result of our own doing.
*God is pleased when we do what is right and not just merely doing good.

September Sermon Series: The Basis of Christianity

Title: The Body in the Tree (09/06/2026)
Text: 1 Peter 2:21-25
Key Verse: “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭24‬ ‭ESV‬‬

- On what basis do you become a Christian?

Calvinism Theory:
Salvation is initiated, carried out and completed by God alone, without human cooperation or autonomous free will.

3 Important Things:
1. Focus on Christ’s suffering, not yours.
2. Imitating Christ in life and ministry.
3. The Spiritual Reversal
- It starts with the tree in the garden, and ends in the BODY in the tree, becoming the Tree of Life.

Lesson:
- The only person you should compare yourself is Jesus.
- Forget what you have done, focus on what He has finished!

- TEMPTATION is the BRIDGE to SINNING.

- Temptation is hard to resist because it targets human desires, drains mental energy and promises that cause immediate pleasure over future rewards.

Title: Temptation: Initial Effect (08/02/26)
Text: Genesis 1:8-14
Key Verse: “And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.””
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

- The initial reaction of someone who fall into temptation is to HIDE.

3 Important Components:
1. The Reaction
2. The Action
3. The Direction

LESSON:
- Stop hiding. Reveal yourself.
- PAY ATTENTION to God’s instruction.

Title: Temptation: Birth of Sin (08/09/26)
Text: James 1:13-16
Key Verse: “Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.”

3 Important Components:
1. God will NEVER cause anyone to stumble.
2. Temptation happens if you DON’T PAY ATTENTION.
3. The birth of DESTRUCTION of your calling.

Title: Temptation: Time of Need (08/23/26)
Text: Hebrews 4:14-16
Key Verse: “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬ ESV

3 Important Components:
1. Assurance of Connections.
- With confidence, draw near to the throne.
- Drawing near means “Building your personal relationship with God.”
2. God is fully aware in our situation.
- Christ sympathize with us; He truly knows and feels what we are going through.
- God uses people to save us when we fall in temptations.
3. Watch your footsteps.
- Everything you’ve done has a trace and it reflects to your life.

Title: Temptation: Leave Your Garment (08/30/26)
Text: Genesis 39:1-12
Key Verse: “And as soon as she saw that he had left his garment in her hand and had fled out of the house,”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭39‬:‭13‬ ‭ESV‬‬

3 Important Things We Can See in Joseph’s Life:
1. He is firm with his calling.
- A man of God must be confident about his calling.
2. He never complain.
- Complain leads us to temptation.
3. He use his gift.
- Use your gifts.

LESSON:
- Satan does not care about your spiritual life as long as he knows that he has a PART in you.
- Avoid whatever clings to sin and runaway from it.

Glory to God for we have learned so many things on this series. May we always be reminded on these learnings and may we apply it to our lives. 🙏🏻
