You who were arrested in Gethsemane
and at the sound of your name
caused your persecutors to fall to the ground;
You who died on the Cross
and with your powerful voice shook the heavens,
hear the plea of ​​your children.

Defend us from those who accuse us,
blind those who wish us harm,
silence the lips that unjustly condemn us,
and make the prisons open
and the bonds break in your presence.

Cover us with your mantle,

🙏 Dear Lord Jesus,
Today I behold your face in the darkness,
silent, hurt, with tears that speak a thousand words.
Your eyes, tired but firm, look at me as if they would say:
“here I am... even when you no longer have the strength.”
Lord, that shadow around You reminds me of my own nights:
when I am silent because of pride, when I take blame,
when I feel alone even though there are people nearby,
when i smile on the outside and inside i'm breaking.
But you do not hide yourself from pain: you go through it for love,
and with your look you teach me that sadness is not the end.
Today I ask that light that still lives in your eyes
Ignite my faith, heal my inner wounds
and give me back the peace that I've lost.
Take my heart, cleanse it, hold me, and lead me back to You.
