n) in Teresa Heights, Novaliches, Quezon City, now the Servants of the Holy Eucharist Convent. The chapel was then under the jurisdiction of the Our Lady of Mercy Parish with Rev. In June 1985, the Blessed Sacrament inside a locked tabernacle was stolen. The incident prompted the Committee to seek a dialogue with Jaime Cardinal L. In September 1985, after the Mass, the Cardinal said he was very impressed by the community relationship and would like to make it a parish. The first requisite to become a parish is to own a lot. With the help of long-time Teresa Heights Homeowners Association President Inang Santiago and Engr. Cruz, Sr, a lot donation was made by Mrs. Pacita Jacinto and a chapel was built. After the completion of a convent for the Resident Priest, the blessing of the Sub-Parish, Tabernacle, and Convent was held on August 22, 1988. Alfeo Aninon was assigned as the Resident Priest. The Parish was established on March 10, 1989. In 1993, Fr. Borromeo, SOLT, was appointed to replace Fr. Bernie who was transferred to Quiapo Church, Manila. Assisting Fr. Efren was then Deacon Rev. Roger Abalon, SOLT, who started the PREX Program in the Parish. Roger became the Parish Vicar on February 28, 1996. The PREX Program played a major role in uniting MTQ parishioners who belonged to nine separate subdivisions. It paved the way for the formation of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) with Rady Domingo as the first PPC President as well as the formulation of the Parish vision-mission and constitution. After five years of being a Parish, Fr. Efren exerted efforts to find a new site. Through the Teresa Heights Homeowners Association late President Dencio Pineda, a lot was obtained on Belfast Avenue. Construction of the Parish church began but it was still unfinished when it was turned over from the SOLT priests to the Diocesan Clergy on February 2006. Tony Labiao was the first appointed Diocesan Parish Administrator and stayed until May 31, 2007. Rei Flores became the Parish Priest after the June 1, 2007 Clergy reshuffling in the Diocese. Since then, the Parish has bloomed and grown. In June 2013, Msgr. Jesus Romulo C. Rañada was assigned to the Parish. The Parish feast day is August 22.
