We are officially having 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿 at 𝗦𝘁. 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵, 𝗗𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗼 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀, 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, starting 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, and meeting every 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵!

We start with Holy Mass at 6PM, followed by light snacks and fellowship. Open Door proper starts at 7:30PM with worship, an inspiring testimony, and a talk.

In Day 2 of the career preparation workshop, our participants took part in a mock interview to help them put their learning into practice, build confidence, and prepare for real-world opportunities.

In this session, we are reminded that to become a long-term Misyonero, we need to grow deeper in our relationship with Christ through obedience to God's Word, daily prayer, the Holy Mass and Eucharistic Adoration.

We invite you to join us tomorrow in celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Missionaries of God's Love in the Philippines.

Today, we honor Fr. Steve Tynan, MGL, whose courageous “yes” as a young missionary helped shape the story of the Missionaries of God’s Love in the Philippines.

When he first arrived in the Philippines in October 1995 with Fr. Ken Barker on their initial visit, Fr. Steve was a young priest, only three years ordained, who came with a heart ready to serve and a deep trust in God’s call. He embraced the Filipino people as his own, walking with communities, sharing their joys and struggles, proclaiming the Gospel, and forming disciples through a life of humble and faithful service. That single act of faith grew into a mission that has touched countless lives and laid the foundation for what has become three decades of MGL presence in the Philippines.

As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Missionaries of God’s Love in the Philippines, we also celebrate the legacy of those first missionaries who dared to begin. Fr. Steve’s life reminds us that every lasting mission begins with one person willing to say, “Here I am, Lord.”

Thank you, Fr. Steve, for your faith, your perseverance, and your love for the Filipino people. May the Lord continue to bless you, and may the legacy you helped build continue to bear fruit for generations to come.
