| 3 REASONS WHY THE RESURRECTION MATTERS TO US

1. It Proves Jesus is Really God

Anyone can claim "I’m the Son of God". But only God can walk out of a grave.
Romans 1:4 - “Declared to be the Son of God... by His resurrection.”

For us: We don’t follow a dead teacher. We follow a living King.

2. It Defeats What Scares Us Most: Sin & Death
Friday = Jesus paid for our sin on the cross.
Sunday = He proved the payment went through.
1 Cor 15:55 - “O death, where is your victory?”

For us:Your past mistakes don’t get the final word. Anxiety about the future doesn’t get the final word. Jesus does.

3. It Gives Us New Life RIGHT NOW
1 Peter 1:3 - “He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection.”
Because He rose, we don’t have to live stuck in:
Old habits → We can be new
Depression/hopelessness → We have living hope
Fear → He’s alive and with us

For us: Christianity isn’t just “go to heaven later”. It’s “new life starts today.”

APPLICATION: "SO WHAT?"

Because Jesus is alive, 3 things can be true for you this week:

1. Pray boldly - You’re not talking to the sky. You’re talking to a living God who hears you.
2. Forgive freely - The same power that raised Jesus can help you let go.
3. Live with purpose - You weren’t saved just to survive. You were raised with Him to bring hope to others.

CLOSING CHALLENGE

The cross answers: “Can my sins be forgiven?” YES.
The empty tomb answers: “Is God really with me?” YES.

Because He lives, we don’t have to be afraid.
Because He lives, our story isn’t over.
