📣 PICE Palawan Membership Caravan – Puerto Princesa City Central Cluster! 🏗️💚

A productive and engaging PICE Membership Caravan was held at the Puerto Princesa City Central cluster, bringing together engineers from key government offices and agencies!

🤝 In partnership with the City Government of Puerto Princesa, led by City Engineer Aries Grande,
💧 the Puerto Princesa City Water District, represented by Past President Engr. Ni**od Sagun,
🏛️ the DPWH Palawan 3rd District Engineering Office, and
🏗️ the Provincial Engineering Office, represented by Engr. Aireen Laguisma Marcaida,

the caravan strengthened our shared goal of uniting civil engineers in promoting excellence, integrity, and service to the community.

Congratulations to Engr. Aries S. Grande

The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) Palawan Chapter proudly congratulates Engr. Aries S. Grande, Licensed Civil Engineer, Fellow of PICE, Past President of PICE Palawan, and current Regional Coordinator of PICE Region IV-B, on his appointment as the new City Engineer of the City Government of Puerto Princesa.

Engr. Grande’s leadership and unwavering dedication to the profession have long been a source of pride and inspiration to the civil engineering community. His new role is a testament to his professional excellence and commitment to public service.

(As a sidenote, Engr. Grande is also a Licensed Geodetic Engineer, exemplifying his broad expertise in the engineering profession.)

📰🚐 PICE Palawan Membership Caravan Reaches the North! 🚐📰

The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) Palawan Chapter hit the road for its Membership Caravan, visiting Roxas, San Vicente, and Taytay, including the DPWH 1st District Engineering Office as well as the Municipal Engineering and Planning Offices of each town.

The team met with members to update membership records, share upcoming programs, and encourage active participation in chapter activities. The caravan also served as the soft launch of the PICE Palawan Sportfest 🏀🏐 — a fun way to build camaraderie, teamwork, and wellness beyond the drafting table and project site.

PICE Palawan extends its thanks to the engineers, planners, and partners who warmly welcomed the team. With every visit, the chapter continues to strengthen unity and excellence among civil engineers across Palawan. 🌴

🌳 PICE Palawan Chapter’s 36th Founding Anniversary
“Nurturing Roots, Growing Futures”

Fresh from joining the Balayong Tree Planting and Nurturing Festival, members and friends of the PICE Palawan Chapter gathered for a heartwarming celebration of its 36th Founding Anniversary at the Chapter Headquarters in Barangay Sta. Monica.

The event featured a simple fellowship breakfast and an open house that brought together past presidents and officers—our pillars of strength and leadership—with the newly licensed Civil Engineers, symbolizing the bright future of the profession.

The open house also brought fun and camaraderie with board games, darts, and other indoor activities, allowing members to reconnect, unwind, and celebrate the chapter’s continuing legacy in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.

This year’s open house wasn’t just a celebration—it was a way to welcome the public and our new Civil Engineers, making it known that the PICE Palawan Office is always open. It is not just an office, but a home for civil engineers—a place for fun, bonding, and camaraderie among professionals.

As part of our ongoing commitment to growth and sustainability, we also revisited and nurtured the PICE National Tree Planting Site, reinforcing our role as builders not just of infrastructure, but of a greener, better future.

Welcome to the Profession, Engineers! 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️
On July 4, 2025, at the Performing Arts Center of Palawan State University, the newest licensed Civil Engineers officially took their oath—marking the beginning of their journey as professionals committed to nation-building and service.

The ceremony was made even more meaningful through the presence of our distinguished guests: Dr. Reynaldo D. Agcaoili, PRC MIMAROPA Regional Director, who served as the Inducting Officer, and Dr. Marjorie Española, PSU Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension of PSU, who shared valuable insights and words of inspiration.

To the proud parents and families — thank you for standing beside our new engineers every step of the way. Your love and support have laid the strongest foundations of all.

A heartfelt thanks as well to the PICE Palawan 2025 officers for their dedication and efforts in making this event truly special and successful.
