Today, the Church honors the beloved siblings of Bethany—Saint Martha, Saint Mary, and Saint Lazarus—three faithful friends whom Jesus deeply loved.

🤎 Saint Martha welcomed Jesus into her home with generous hospitality. Though often remembered for being busy with many tasks, Jesus gently reminded her that true discipleship begins by placing Him at the center of our lives.

🤎 Saint Mary of Bethany chose to sit at the feet of Jesus, listening attentively to His words. She also anointed His feet with costly perfume as a profound act of love and devotion, preparing Him for His Passion.

🤎 Saint Lazarus was the friend whom Jesus raised from the dead after four days in the tomb. Through this miracle, Jesus revealed Himself as “the resurrection and the life,” strengthening the faith of all who witnessed it.

The lives of these holy siblings remind us that following Christ takes many forms: serving with love like Martha, listening with an open heart like Mary, and trusting in His power and mercy like Lazarus.

May their example inspire us to welcome Jesus into our homes, our hearts, and every part of our lives.

Today, we honor Saint James the Greater, one of the first disciples called by Jesus and a member of His closest circle, together with Peter and John. James witnessed some of the most significant moments in Christ’s ministry—the Transfiguration, the raising of Jairus’ daughter, and Jesus’ agony in Gethsemane. His unwavering faith led him to become the first of the Twelve Apostles to be martyred, giving his life for the Gospel.

As we celebrate his feast day, may Saint James remind us that following Christ means walking with courage, serving with humility, and remaining faithful even when the journey is difficult. Like him, may we answer Jesus’ call with generous hearts and become joyful witnesses of His love in our daily lives.

Today, July 22, we joyfully celebrate the Feast of Saint Mary Magdalene, one of the most faithful disciples of Jesus. Transformed by His mercy, she remained with Him at the foot of the Cross and became the first witness of His Resurrection, entrusted to proclaim the Good News to the apostles.

May her life remind us that no past is greater than God’s mercy, and that those who truly encounter Christ are called to share His hope with the world. Like Saint Mary Magdalene, may we remain faithful to Jesus in every season of life and boldly proclaim: “I have seen the Lord!” (John 20:18)

July 20, we honor the Memorial of Saint Joseph Barsabbas, the Just—a faithful disciple of Jesus and one of those who accompanied Him from the beginning of His public ministry through His Resurrection. After Christ rose from the dead, Joseph became a courageous witness to the Gospel and was even considered among the candidates to replace Judas as one of the Twelve (Acts 1:23–26). He is called “the Just” because of his outstanding righteousness, integrity, and faithful obedience to God. May his example inspire us to remain steadfast and faithful in following Christ.

Today, July 12, we honor the Memorial of Saint Veronica.

While her name isn't in the Gospels, tradition holds a beautiful place for her in the story of the Passion. As Jesus walked the agonizing path to Calvary, carrying the weight of the cross, Veronica stepped through the crowd to offer a simple, profound act of mercy: she wiped the blood and sweat from His face with her veil.

In return for her courage and compassion, Jesus left the miraculous imprint of His holy face upon her cloth.

Saint Veronica reminds us that even the smallest acts of kindness can reflect the face of Christ to the world. May we have the courage to comfort those who suffer today, just as she did.

Today, July 3, we honor one of Jesus’ closest followers—a man whose journey of faith speaks so deeply to our own. As one of the original Twelve Apostles, Thomas walked alongside Jesus, witnessed His miracles, and famously uttered one of the most profound confessions of divinity in the Gospels: "My Lord and my God!"

Though often remembered as "Doubting Thomas," his honest questions ultimately led to an unshakeable faith. He took that fierce devotion all the way to India, where he courageously spread the Gospel until he was martyred for Christ, pierced by a spear for refusing to deny his Lord.

Let us ask for his intercession today, that our own doubts may be transformed into a deeper, bolder faith.

Today, June 29, we celebrate the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul—the ultimate foundations of our Catholic faith. As the twin pillars of the universal Church, Saint Peter represents steadfast leadership and pastoral care, while Saint Paul reminds us of the tireless passion to share God's word with all nations.

We send our warmest greetings and prayers today especially to the faithful of Polangui, Albay, who honor these two great apostles as their heavenly patrons. May we emulate their courage to stand firm in our belief and their love for Christ in everything we do.

On May 24, we remember the memorial of Saint Joanna, one of the faithful women who accompanied and served Jesus during His ministry. As the wife of Chuza, steward of King Herod, she courageously used her position and resources to support Christ and His disciples.

Saint Joanna remained faithful through the Passion of Jesus and was among the holy women who witnessed the events surrounding His Death and Resurrection. She was also one of the women who went to the tomb on Easter morning and became among the first witnesses to the Risen Christ.

May her life inspire us to serve the Lord with courage, fidelity, and unwavering faith. 🙏✨

We remember the faithful witness of Saint Matthias, whose feast was celebrated last May 14. Chosen by the Apostles after the Resurrection, Saint Matthias became one of the Twelve and continued the mission entrusted by Jesus Christ — proclaiming the Gospel and bearing witness to His Passion, Death, and Resurrection.

Tradition tells us that Saint Matthias preached courageously and later suffered martyrdom for the faith, being killed for remaining loyal to Christ until the end. May his example inspire us to stay faithful and steadfast in following the Lord. 🙏
