With heartfelt joy and gratitude to God, we extend our warmest congratulations to Priest Devie John Muda Bandaan for successfully passing the National Assessment for School Heads – Batch 2.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to his unwavering faith, perseverance, and commitment to excellence. While faithfully fulfilling his responsibilities in the field of education, he has also remained steadfast in serving God and the congregation of Malita. His countless sacrifices, hard work, and dedication in both his professional career and his ministry have truly borne fruit.

This success reminds us that when we entrust our plans to God and faithfully carry out our responsibilities, He blesses the work of our hands. As it is written in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans." Likewise, Galatians 6:9 encourages us: "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

May this milestone be the beginning of even greater opportunities to lead with wisdom, integrity, and compassion. May God continue to strengthen and guide him as he serves both the education sector and the Lord's work with humility and dedication.

Rise Up, Shine Bright!

The Asian Youth Convention 2026, held at Highland Park Resort in Bogor, Indonesia, from June 26–28, 2026, was a truly memorable and successful celebration of faith, unity, and fellowship.

The convention showcased the rich talents, diverse cultures, and unwavering faith of the participating districts and nations, bringing together young people from across Asia in an atmosphere of joy and inspiration.

Four young people from the Davao Region proudly joined the Philippine delegation in representing the youth of the Philippines. Throughout the convention, participants enjoyed inspiring performances that reflected their unique cultures and God-given talents. It was also a wonderful opportunity for old friends to reunite, new friendships to be formed, and lasting memories to be created.

The highlight of the convention was the Divine Service conducted by District Apostle Edy Isnugroho, which strengthened everyone's faith and reminded the youth to continue rising up and shining brightly as followers of Christ.

As the convention came to a close, hearts were filled with gratitude for the unforgettable experiences and the blessings received. We look forward with great anticipation to future events where we can once again gather in faith, strengthen our bonds, and continue growing together as one family in Christ.

Hands of Compassion: A Relief Mission for Communities Affected by the 7.8 Earthquake

In the aftermath of the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake, many families in Jose Abad Santos continue to face uncertainty as persistent aftershocks prevent them from returning to their farms and fishing grounds—their primary sources of livelihood.

Moved by compassion, kindhearted members generously contributed whatever amount they could, while NACSEA Relief extended invaluable support that made this relief operation possible.

Our team first checked in at the Incident Command Post of Jose Abad Santos before proceeding to our repacking hub at Narra Congregation in Carahayan, whose church building remained unharmed and became a center of hope with the help of many dedicated volunteers.

Together, we prepared relief packs for 79 families and delivered them to the congregations in Avocado and Calambog in Tabayon, Daingan in Malalan, Salnaong and Lalawan in Tanuman, Eleb in Butuan, and Kalbay. The recipients expressed heartfelt gratitude, knowing that assistance was coming not only from the Church but also from various organizations, government agencies, and local government units working hand in hand to help communities recover.

We extend our deepest appreciation to all sponsors and volunteers whose generosity and selfless service contributed to the success of this relief effort. Amid the pain and destruction caused by the earthquake, one truth shines brightly: communities can rise above any disaster when people come together, support one another, and keep hope alive.

In times of disaster, we discover that the strongest foundation is not the ground beneath us, but the love, unity, and compassion we share with one another.

𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐋𝐘 | A Successful Two-Day Leadership and Team Building Camp

The Leadership and Team Building Camp was successfully held at Tudaya, Sibulan, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, bringing together the youth for two meaningful days filled with learning, fellowship, faith, and unity.

Throughout the camp, the youth actively participated in different activities that helped them build stronger friendships, develop leadership skills, and deepen their relationship with God. One of the highlights was the seminar "Knowing Yourself: Building Personal and Self-Awareness" conducted by Rector Franz Jeemson Tan, which encouraged the youth to better understand themselves and recognize their strengths and potential.

This was followed by the topic "Growing Deeper in Faith: Spiritual Growth for the Youth" presented by Rector Devie John Bandaan, inspiring the participants to strengthen their faith and remain connected to God in their daily lives. Rector Alandria also shared an important discussion on "Using Social Media with Purpose and Christian Values," reminding everyone to use digital platforms responsibly and as instruments for spreading positivity and Christian values.

The camp also included a short choir rehearsal led by Sister Nel Jeng Mapayo, where the youth joyfully practiced songs of praise and worship. Through these activities, the participants learned the importance of self-awareness, faith, responsible leadership, teamwork, and living as good examples of Christ in today's world.

The highlight of the two-day event was the Divine Service officiated by Rector Devie John Bandaan, where everyone received God's word and blessings. This was followed by the awarding ceremony, recognizing the efforts and participation of the youth before finally saying "Home Sweet Home."

As the camp came to an end, the memories, lessons, and friendships built during these two days will continue to inspire everyone. May the experiences gained ignite a stronger faith, greater leadership, and deeper unity among the youth as they continue to serve God and their fellow believers.
