FEAST DAY OF ST. MARY MAGDALENE | July 22, 2025

The Feast Day of St. Mary Magdalene, the patroness of the Dominican Order, is celebrated this day, July 22, 2025. Honored as the “Apostle to the Apostles,” she is a model of deep conversion, faithful discipleship, and bold proclamation of the Gospel. Her witness to the Risen Christ inspires the Dominican spirit of truth, contemplation, and preaching. Through her life, we are called to seek Christ with courage and to proclaim His love with conviction.

"St. Mary Magdalene, Pray for us."

SEMINAR ON THE HOLY EUCHARIST, PRAYER, AND SERVICE | July 12, 2025

-Psalm 100:2
📖 “Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.”

Today, the Knights of the Altar of St. Catherine’s College, together with the devoted members of the Ministry of Gift Bearers, gathered in their blissful First Saturday Seminar at the Audio Visual Room of St. Catherine's College.

From shared moments of reflection to a deeper understanding of our sacred roles in the Church, anchored to the theme, "Serviam: Loving Service Through Prayer and Love," this formation marked the beginning of a renewed spiritual journey for these servers.

Our time together reminded us that serving at the altar is more than a task—it is a calling, a privilege, and a beautiful expression of love for the Eucharist and for the Church. Through prayer and personal reflections, we were strengthened not only as individuals but as a community rooted in faith, Holy Eucharist, and service.

🌟 A heartfelt and special thank you to Sem. Jan Niel Janson, a Third Year Theology student at the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas Central Seminary, whose presence, guidance, and inspiring words touched the hearts of the gift bearers and altar servers.

🙏 In a special way, we are eternally grateful for the generous support of the following for the First Saturday seminar:

1. Mrs. Lavenia Barcenas
2. Catherine Barcenas
3. Roslyn Barcenas–Nuestro
4. Mr. and Mrs. Erman and Edabeth Manugas
5. Mrs. Ranghie Baring
6. Hon. Em Em Alcordo
7. Mrs. Rita Garay
8. Br. Uriel Zoren Babao
9. Br. Enrico John Amaza

💐 May the intercession of our Blessed Virgin Mother, St. Tarcisius, and Bl. Imelda Lambertini be our delight in this journey of hope and loving service!

SOLEMNITY OF SAINTS PETER AND PAUL | JUNE 29, 2025

- 2 Timothy 4:7
📖 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, two great apostles who played vital roles in the foundation and growth of the early Church. Saint Peter, the rock upon whom Christ built His Church, reminds us of the strength of faith and the power of forgiveness. Saint Paul, the tireless missionary, teaches us the importance of spreading the Gospel with passion and conviction.

Though different in personality and mission, their shared love for Christ united them in purpose and sacrifice. Both gave their lives in witness to the truth, becoming powerful examples of discipleship and courage.

As a Catholic institution, we honor their legacy by striving to live out our faith with the same zeal and devotion. May Saints Peter and Paul continue to inspire our school community to walk boldly in faith, speak the truth in love, and remain united in Christ.

Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us! ✝️

The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus | June 27, 2025

📖Mathew 11:28-29
"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest... for I am meek and humble of heart."

On June 27, we joyfully celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, a powerful reminder of Christ’s unfailing love and mercy poured out for humanity. This devotion invites us to draw closer to the heart of our Savior, to find peace in His embrace, and to renew our commitment to love as He loves, with gentleness, compassion, and sacrifice.

Let us take this sacred opportunity to reflect on the depth of Jesus’ love and to offer our prayers, thanksgiving, and hearts to Him. Together as one community, may we be inspired to live out His love in our daily lives.

SOLEMNITY OF THE NATIVITY OF ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST | June 24, 2025

📖Luke 7:28
“Among those born of women, none is greater than John.”

Today, we joyfully celebrate the birth of Saint John the Baptist, the great prophet chosen to prepare the way for the Lord. Even before his birth, John leapt in the womb at the presence of Christ, a powerful sign of his unique mission in salvation history.

As the only saint whose birth the Church celebrates apart from Jesus and Mary, John stands as a shining example of humility, courage, and unwavering faith. He lived a life of simplicity and bold truth, proclaiming repentance and pointing others to the Lamb of God.

May his life inspire us to be fearless witnesses of the Gospel, to speak the truth with love, and to prepare the way of the Lord in our own hearts and communities.

St. John the Baptist, pray for us! 🙏
