Venerated at the historic Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey, Our Lady of Montserrat, affectionately known as La Moreneta, has been a cherished symbol of faith and devotion for centuries. This ancient Romanesque image of the Blessed Virgin Mary, seated with the Child Jesus, draws countless pilgrims who seek her intercession and maternal care.

The Shrine of the Image in the Benedictine Monastery of Catalonia (Spain) has been the destination of many pilgrims since the 9th century. In 1844 Pope Leo XIII declared the Virgin of Montserrat ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—–๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ฎ.
