Today we honor Saint Rose of Lima, the first canonized saint of the Americas, who dedicated her life to severe penance, deep prayer, and devoted care for the poor and sick in her homeland. As a member of the Third Order of Saint Dominic, she transformed her family's garden into a hermitage of profound mystical union with God, offering all her sufferings for the conversion of sinners.

Today we celebrate the Memorial of the Queenship of Mary, honoring the Blessed Mother who participates intimately in the royal dominion of her Son, Jesus Christ, the King of the Universe. Established by Pope Pius XII in 1954, this feast reminds us that Mary watches over us with maternal care and intercedes for us as our heavenly queen.

This month, we embrace our calling to holiness and lift up in prayer all those discerning their pathโ€”whether to the priesthood, religious life, marriage, or single blessedness. May our hearts remain open to God's gentle whisper: "Here I am, send me."
