MARK 10 ACTIVITIES - MARCH

We praise and thank the Lord for the MARK 10 outreach activities held in March in our mission areas in Bagumbayan, BF Target, Euro Maralit, San Guillermo, Muntinlupa DIP and Villa Paraiso, with a total of 135 children who participated, with some parents and companions.

The Theme for month of March is about the Lenten season, or Kuaresma. It is the most significant and solemnly observed religious tradition here in the Philippines, which is a predominantly Catholic nation. The Lenten season is a unique blend of solemn religious piety and ancient folk tradition, carried on through the many generations.

Among the Significant Holy Week Traditions is the Way of the Cross (Via Crucis), participated in by the Mark 10 kids and parents. Other than a religious practice, it is an insightful educational experience, with visual storytelling and coordinated action while expressing adoration to Lord Jesus Christ.

They were guided into reflecting on the passion and death of our Lord Jesus Christ, to make them realize how our Lord sacrificially offered His life for our salvation and understand the concept of suffering , compassion and empathy.

The stations cover a wide range of human emotions: loneliness, injustice, fear, physical pain, and eventually, the hope of the Resurrection.

While the stations are generally gloomy, the custom always lead toward Easter Sunday. It instills a sense of hope that light and joy follow periods of darkness.

This teaches us a fundamental life lesson: Hard times are not the end of the story.

Simple snacks were served to the children, parents and working team, after the activity.

Facilitators of the activities are Mark 10 Committee, HM2 Coord, SOH Areas Admin. Assts and volunteer SOH Scholars/Parents

The Poverty Alleviation Ministry extends its heartfelt gratitude for the continued support from our generous donors, and our ever dependable and hardworking volunteers.

May our good Lord who sees our hearts and noble deeds, bestow His abundant blessings upon us all!

All glory and honor to our Risen Lord! 🙏🙏🙏
