When life feels uncertain and we’ve lost what we once held dear, we can find refuge under the wings of our faithful God. He is our security when everything else feels uncertain. May we continue to trust Him and rest in His care, knowing that He never leaves His children without hope.

Do you remember the lame man that Jesus healed by a pool named Bethesda in John 5?

The man had an illness for 38 years and could never get to the pool fast enough when its water was stirred because no one would help him.

Then Jesus, who knows how long he's been suffering, comes and heals him.

The man in the photo is like the invalid at Bethesda. While he can clearly walk, he knows not of Jesus and His salvation.

Do we have the same compassion Jesus had for the lame man? For the world?

In verse 17 of the passage we see the Jews oppose Jesus because He healed on a Sabbath. His response should remind us of God's love for the world:

"My Father is working until now, and I am working."

God is still at work to bring spiritual healing to a world that is hurting and searching.

Are we working towards the same goal?

This coming October, there will be 2 Medical Missions to South Asia to help those in need of both physical and spiritual healing. If you are a medical practitioner, photographer/videographer, or someone working in Disaster Risk Management, will you pray about signing up?
