On May 22, 2026, the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus โ St. Matthew Province, through the St. Hannibal Empowerment Center Community in Pasay City and in collaboration with the Vicariate of Sta. Clara de Montefalco of the Archdiocese of Manila, successfully organized the Vicariate celebration of the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. The gathering formed part of the 63rd World Day of Prayer for Vocations and carried the inspiring theme, โBokasyon: Bukas sa Misyon.โ
Held at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City, the event gathered a good number of young people from the Vicariate of Sta. Clara de Montefalco and various parishes across the Archdiocese of Manila. The celebration became a vibrant encounter of faith, fellowship, and discernment as the youth responded to the Churchโs invitation to listen more deeply to Godโs call in their lives.
Joining the gathering were the different Rogate Youth communities, including those from Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish โ Multinational, Paraรฑaque; Holy Spirit Chapel of the Father Di Francia Center of Studies; Rogationist Seminary Manila โ Merville, Paraรฑaque; and the host community of SHEC โ Pasay and Baseco. Their active participation brought energy and joy to the celebration, highlighting the vitality of the youth in the mission of the Church.
Representing the Provincial Superior, Fr. Orville Cajigal, RCJ, was Fr. Jessie Martirizar, RCJ, Provincial Councilor for the Sector of the Rogate, who delivered an inspiring message to the participants. Also present were the religious brothers and deacons of the Father Di Francia Center of Studies, the St. John Berchmans Rogationist novices and postulants, and priests from nearby communities, whose presence reflected the communion and fraternity within the Rogationist family.
We also thanked the significant individuals who graced the event and whose presence and participation added life to the celebration: Hon Imelda Calixto-Rubiano, Pasay City Mayor; Fr. Miguel Ramirez - Plenary Speaker; and Fr. Leo Angelo Ignacio - Holy Mass Presider.
The celebration served not only as a gathering of young people but also as a powerful reminder that every vocation begins with an open heart willing to respond to Godโs mission. Through prayer, fellowship, and joyful witness, the event encouraged the youth to courageously embrace their calling and become instruments of hope and service in the Church and society.
Send, O Lord, Holy Apostles into Your Church.
