MAY 24 | PENTECOST SUNDAY

Happy Birthday to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church!
Happy birthday to all of us, brothers and sisters in Christ!

Pentecost celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, Mary, and the first followers of Jesus gathered in the Upper Room (Acts 2:1–13). A strong wind filled the room, and tongues of fire rested upon them, giving them the courage and grace to proclaim the Gospel in different languages.

Filled with the Holy Spirit, Peter preached his first homily, calling people to repentance and baptism. About 3,000 people embraced the faith that day.

For this reason, Pentecost is known as the birthday of the Church — the moment the apostles were empowered and sent forth to share the Gospel with the world.

Sa ating pagpapatuloy sa mga naging Kura Paroko ng Parokya ng San Marcos Ebanghelista, ating bigyang pugay ang mahigit na limang dekada ng tapat na pagsisilbi ni 𝐑𝐝𝐨. 𝐏. 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨, ang ating 𝑰𝑲𝑨𝑳𝑰𝑴𝑨𝑵𝑮 𝑲𝑼𝑹𝑨 𝑷𝑨𝑹𝑶𝑲𝑶.

Narito ang mga kahanga-hangang Trivia tungkol sa kaniyang buhay-ministro:

Si Fr. Ety ay tubong Santa Monica, Hagonoy, Bulacan. Naordinahan siya bilang pari sa Diyosesis ng Malolos noong Dec 1, 1973.

Sa loob ng mahigit 50 taon naging espiritual na ama si Fr. Ety sa maraming Parokya sa Bulacan tulad ng San Pedro Apostol ( Tungkong Mangga, SJDM), Sto. Niño (Parada, Sta. Maria) at ilan pang bayan sa Paombong bago at matapos siya maglingkod sa Parokya ng San Marcos Ebanghelista.

Naging Boses din siya ng Kalikasan at Bayan. Hindi lamang sa loob ng Simbahan nakulong ang kanyang paglilingkod. Kilala si Fr. Ety bilang environmental advocate na nakikipaglaban para sa kalusugan ng komunidad sa mapanirang proyekto sa kalikasan.

Dahil sa kanyang mahaba at tapat na serbisyo, siya ngayon ay may kasalukuyang titulong 𝑷𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝑬𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒔. Sa kabila ng pagiging retirado, nanatili siyang matibay na haligi at inspirasyon sa mga nakababatang Pari at sa ating lahat.

Isang 𝑷𝑨𝑺𝑨𝑺𝑨𝑳𝑨𝑴𝑨𝑻 sa ating 𝑰𝑲𝑨𝑳𝑰𝑴𝑨𝑵𝑮 𝑲𝑼𝑹𝑨 𝑷𝑨𝑹𝑶𝑲𝑶 na nagturo sa atin na ang paglilingkod sa Diyos ay kaakibat ng pagmamahal sa kanyang mga likha at sa kapwa.

As part of its continuing apostolate in faith formation and Marian devotion, the DMII-Our Lady of Consolation and Cincture Circle conducted a session on how to properly make and pray the Holy Rosary during the opening day of Simba Aralan and Catechesis classes for pre-communicants and post-communicants in different chapels under Parokya ng Santiago Apostol. Through this activity, the children were guided not only in learning the prayers and mysteries of the Rosary, but also in deepening their love for Mama Mary and strengthening their relationship with Jesus. This initiative reflects DMII’s mission of values formation and faith education by nurturing the spiritual lives of the young members of the Church. Through prayer and catechesis, the organization continues to help build Christ-centered families and communities.

April 2026 | Morality in Media Mission Trust

In these challenging times when negative and divisive statements continue to circulate against the Holy Father, the Daughters of Mary Immaculate International (DMII) – Our Lady of Consolation and Cincture Circle chooses to stand firmly in prayer, respect, and solidarity with Pope Leo XIV through the campaign “PEACE – not war.” As a project of the Morality in Media mission, 30 DMII members will display this tarpaulin at the gates of their homes as a visible witness of unity, faith, and Christian peace. Rather than responding with hatred or division, this initiative seeks to promote dialogue, compassion, and the Gospel call to become peacemakers in today’s world. Through this simple act, DMII hopes to inspire communities to uphold truth, charity, and respect for human dignity in both media and society.
