This verse explains why God parted the Jordan River for Israel. The miracle was not only for Israel’s deliverance but also as a testimony to all nations of God’s power. It calls God’s people to remember His mighty acts and to respond with reverence, obedience, and faith. Remembering what God has done strengthens faith for present and future challenges.

Let us walk in reverence, trusting in the power of the Lord.

It places a strong emphasis on being prepared, stating the truth, providing loving correction, and encouraging others all while exercising patience and discernment. In ministry, faithfulness is determined by obedience rather than convenience.
