Great and mighty is our God indeed.

In Christ, there is resurrection, revival, and renewal. What is dead in our faith, dead in our service, and even dead in our hope is not beyond the power of Christ to restore.

When Jesus called Lazarus out of the grave, He revealed that there is no grave too deep and no condition too hopeless for our Lord. The same Jesus who called Lazarus forth still raises His people from places of spiritual death—into life, freedom, and renewed devotion.

In Jesus, what has been buried within us can be made alive again. Faith can rise again. Fire can burn again for His glory.

He is the Resurrection. He is the Life. And He is here with us now. To Jesus alone be the glory forever! 🙏

KNOWING JESUS, LIVING LIKE JESUS PART XII

"JESUS, THE GOOD SHEPHERD"

In John chapter 10, Jesus presents Himself as the Good Shepherd who knows His sheep intimately and calls them by name. Unlike a hired hand who abandons the flock in danger, the Good Shepherd remains faithful, guiding and protecting His sheep with genuine care. His voice is familiar to them, and they respond because of the deep relationship built on trust and love. This image reminds us that following Jesus is not about obligation, but about recognizing and responding to His voice in our lives.

Jesus also emphasizes His sacrificial love, declaring that the Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. This points to His ultimate act of giving Himself for the salvation of humanity. His leadership is not rooted in power or control, but in selfless love and commitment. Through this, we see that true leadership in God’s kingdom is marked by humility, sacrifice, and a willingness to serve others even at great personal cost.

Finally, Jesus speaks of unity, saying that He has other sheep not of the same fold, and they too will listen to His voice. This reveals His mission to gather all people into one flock under one Shepherd. It reminds us that His love extends beyond boundaries, inviting everyone into a relationship with Him. As His followers, we are called to listen closely, trust His guidance, and reflect His love as part of His unified flock.

With a voice of thanksgiving, we lift the Lord on high and bless His holy name.

It was indeed a blessed Sunday. Through the exhortation shared by Pastor Roger Lolarga, we were reminded that thanksgiving is not meant to remain silent within us, but to be declared, offered, and lifted up before God. Like Jonah, we too are called to be a people whose lives and lips overflow with gratitude unto Him. For thanksgiving must have a voice—one that remembers His goodness, proclaims His faithfulness, and declares His marvelous works.

May we never be ashamed to lift a voice of thanksgiving unto our God. In every season, may our hearts never cease to proclaim that the Lord is good and faithful. A thankful heart points others to Christ.

To God be the glory—with all thanksgiving, honor, and praise. 🙏

VOICE OF THANKSGIVING
JONAH 2:9
"But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.”

Jonah’s story shows that the voice of thanksgiving is not dependent on perfect circumstances but on a heart that recognizes God’s mercy. Even while inside the belly of the fish, Jonah chose to lift a prayer of gratitude, acknowledging God as his deliverer. This moment reveals that thanksgiving is an act of faith—it shifts our focus from fear and failure to God’s power and grace, even when we are in the middle of consequences brought by our own disobedience.

The voice of thanksgiving also marks a turning point in Jonah’s life. His gratitude was not just words; it reflected a change in his heart, from running away from God to surrendering to Him. Thanksgiving realigns us with God’s will, reminding us of His faithfulness despite our shortcomings. In Jonah’s case, it was after his prayer of thanksgiving that deliverance came, showing that a grateful heart opens the way for restoration and renewed purpose.

Ultimately, Jonah’s story teaches that thanksgiving is a powerful response in every season—whether in obedience or failure, in peace or distress. It draws us closer to God, softens our hearts, and keeps us aware of His presence. When we cultivate a voice of thanksgiving, we learn to trust God more deeply, recognizing that His mercy is greater than our mistakes and His plans are always worth following.

Great is the faithfulness of our God. From beginning to end, He has been so good to us.

Yesterday, we were reminded that Jesus is our Good Shepherd—our Saviour who laid down His life for us and still leads us in faithfulness. How blessed are we to belong to a Shepherd who does not abandon His flock, but gently leads, faithfully provides, and gives eternal life to His sheep.

As Psalm 23 echoes, we lack nothing, for Jesus is our Shepherd. He leads us in paths of righteousness and causes us to dwell in the safety of His presence.

May we also remember that to truly know Jesus and live like Jesus is to be a faithful sheep—one who listens closely for His voice, follows where He leads, and rests in the full assurance that we are His. He knows us by name, He goes before us, and in Him, we are never left to wander alone.

All glory to Jesus alone. See you next Sunday!

JCLLC Dumpay: Blessed @ 28

Today, we celebrate more than just an anniversary—we celebrate 28 years of God’s faithfulness, favor, and overflowing grace upon Jesus Christ the Light of Life Church – Dumpay.

Through the powerful message of Ptr. Roger U. Lolarga, the congregation was reminded that our voice is not meant for ourselves alone, but to be lifted for God’s glory and for the blessing of others. Like Jonah, we may sometimes run or disobey, yet God in His mercy redirects us back to His perfect will. Truly, the presence of the storm does not mean the absence of God—it is often an opportunity to witness His mighty hand at work in our lives.

As we are called back to His purpose, may our hearts remain fully surrendered, filled with hope and thanksgiving. In every challenge, let us come into His presence with faith, trusting in what the Lord is about to do.

As we step into another year, we do not begin again—we continue forward with renewed faith in Jesus, declaring thanksgiving with our voices. And as we do, God will continue to pour out His blessings—not for our own glory, but so that the name of Jesus may be lifted high.

To God be all the Highest Glory!
