Prayer of Thanksgiving to Saint Rita
O glorious Saint Rita of Cascia, our beloved patroness and faithful intercessor, with hearts filled with gratitude and joy, we come before you to give thanks to God for the countless blessings He has bestowed upon our parish through your powerful intercession.
Today, as we celebrate the Tricentennial Anniversary of Santa Rita de Cascia Parish, we thank the Lord for three hundred years of faith, prayer, devotion, and service. For generations, you have accompanied our community, inspiring us to remain steadfast in faith, hopeful in trials, and charitable toward one another.
We also joyfully commemorate the 18th Anniversary of the Arrival of your sacred relic among us. May your presence through this holy relic continue to strengthen our devotion, deepen our love for Christ, and remind us of your life of prayer, forgiveness, perseverance, and unwavering trust in God.
Saint Rita, we thank you for being a mother and companion to our parish family. Continue to intercede for our priests, religious, families, youth, and every member of our community.
Protect our parish from every harm and guide us always toward your Son, Jesus Christ.
As we look back with gratitude upon 300 years of grace, may we look forward with renewed faith to the years that God has yet to give us.
May our parish continue to be a home of prayer, a witness of charity, and a living expression of the Gospel.
Teach us, dear Saint Rita, to love what is difficult, to forgive as Christ forgives, to persevere in times of suffering, and to trust in God's providence at all times. May this celebration not only commemorate our history, but renew our commitment to live our faith
and to serve the Lord and His people.
