It’s Laetare Sunday—a day to rejoice in the middle of Lent!

We celebrate that we are "New Creations" in Christ. Like the Israelites entering the Promised Land, we are being led to a land of grace.

Advice: Wear something rose-colored or bright today to celebrate God's joy.

Are you praying with pride or a broken heart?

God desires "love, not sacrifice." The tax collector’s humble prayer, "O God, be merciful to me a sinner," justified him. Pride blocks grace; humility opens the floodgates.

Advice: Start your prayer today by acknowledging your need for God’s mercy.

What is the "core" of your faith?

Hosea calls Israel to return to the Lord. A scribe asks Jesus about the first commandment. The answer: Love God with everything, and your neighbor as yourself.

Advice: Perform a "Station of the Cross" today at your local parish.

Who are you standing with?

Jeremiah laments a people who turned their backs to God. Jesus warns that a kingdom divided cannot stand. We must be "all in" for Christ.

Advice: Remove one distraction (social media/TV) for an hour to focus solely on God.

The Law isn't a burden; it's a map.

Moses urges the people to keep the statutes to show their wisdom. Jesus says He came not to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it. Love is the fulfillment.

Advice: Read the Ten Commandments today and see them as "Ten Ways to Love."

How many times must we forgive?

Peter asks for a limit on forgiveness, but Jesus reveals there is none. We are forgiven a massive debt by God; we must release the "pennies" others owe us.

Advice: Reach out to someone you've had a disagreement with and offer peace.

Healing often comes in ways we don't expect.

Naaman almost missed his cure because he thought the solution was too simple. Jesus reminds us that God often works outside our "expectations."

Practice a simple devotion, like the Jesus Prayer, throughout the day.

Celebrating the Strength and Grace of Women ✨

March is National Women’s Month, a time to honor the incredible women who shape our world, our homes, and our hearts. Today, we celebrate the dreamers, the doers, the healers, and the leaders who lead with both strength and compassion.

To every woman: You are chosen, you are capable, and you are deeply loved by the One who created you. 🌸

"Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come."
— Proverbs 31:25

A Prayer for Women
Heavenly Father,

We thank You for the gift of women. Thank You for the unique wisdom, resilience, and nurturing spirit You have placed within them. We pray for every woman reading this—that she would feel seen, valued, and empowered today.

Grant her the courage to pursue her calling, the peace to rest when she is weary, and the confidence to know she is "fearfully and wonderfully made." Bless her hands as she works and her heart as she loves. May she continue to be a light in this world, reflecting Your grace in everything she does.

Amen.

God is calling you from the "Burning Bush."

God reveals His name to Moses on holy ground. In the Gospel, Jesus gives the parable of the fig tree—God is the patient gardener giving us one more year to bear fruit.

Advice: Write down one habit you want to "prune" this Lent.

It’s time to come home.

The story of the Prodigal Son is really about the Prodigal Father—one who is "wasteful" with his mercy. No matter how far you’ve run, He is waiting at the edge of the porch.

Advice: Visit the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) this weekend.

How do we treat the "Owner" of the vineyard?

From Joseph sold into slavery to Jesus rejected by the elders, we see how human jealousy fights God's plan. Yet, the stone the builders rejected becomes the cornerstone.

Advice: Abstain from meat and pray for those who are persecuted for their faith.

Do you see the "Lazarus" at your gate?

The rich man didn't hate Lazarus; he simply ignored him. Lent is the season to bridge the chasm of indifference between us and those in need.

Advice: Share a meal or a donation with someone in need today.
