Hindi awtomatikong nangangahulugan na si Robin Padilla ay Marxist o NPA dahil sinabi niyang “Komunista po ako.” Sa sumunod niyang paliwanag, sinabi niyang hindi niya tinutukoy ang Maoist-Leninist-Marxist na armadong komunismo, kundi ang tinatawag niyang “Christian communism” at ang Mu’akhat system sa Madinah.

Ngunit, Kung hindi Marxist communism ang tinutukoy mo, bakit mo ginagamit ang terminong “komunista” na malinaw na may ibang kahulugan sa modernong politika?

St. Monica, born in 331 A.D. in Tagaste (now Algeria), was the devoted mother of St. Augustine. She married Patricius, a Roman pagan, and together they endured a tumultuous life marked by their strong temperaments. Monica's steadfast Christian faith often clashed with her husband's beliefs, but she never wavered in her prayers for her family's spiritual awakening. Her perseverance paid off when both Patricius and his mother converted to Christianity a year before Patricius's death.

Monica and Patricius had three children: Augustine, Navigius, and Perpetua. While Navigius and Perpetua embraced religious lives, Augustine initially turned away, living a wayward life and joining the Manichaean sect. Determined to guide her son back to faith, Monica followed Augustine from Carthage to Rome and eventually to Milan.

In Milan, she met St. Ambrose, whose influence was pivotal in Augustine's return to Christianity after seventeen years of deviation. Monica's profound impact on Augustine is evident in his writings, particularly in his 'Confessions.' Under Bishop Ambrose's guidance, she shifted her focus from giving material gifts to offering heartfelt prayers.

After Augustine's baptism in Milan, they intended to return to Africa to further the Christian mission. However, Monica fell ill and passed away in Civitavecchia. Augustine lovingly recorded her final words, reflecting her fulfilled purpose in life.

St. Monica's relics were relocated several times and now rest in the Basilica di Sant'Agostino in Rome. The movement of her remains was accompanied by reported miracles, reinforcing her status as a saint. Her enduring legacy is also seen in places like Santa Monica, California, named in her honor. She is celebrated for her unwavering faith and loving dedication as a mother.

St. Bartholomew was one of the original twelve apostles of Jesus in the 1st century. He appears in the synoptic gospels and the Acts of the Apostles and is widely believed to be the same person as Nathanael mentioned in the Gospel of John. Known for his honesty and integrity, Bartholomew was from Cana.

According to the Roman Martyrology, he traveled extensively to spread Christianity, reaching regions such as India and Greater Armenia. His dedication to sharing the Gospel ultimately led to his martyrdom; he was brutally flayed and beheaded on the orders of King Astyages. Tradition states that his ex*****on occurred in Abanopolis near the Caspian Sea.

Additionally, his missionary efforts extended to Mesopotamia, Persia, and Egypt.

It's important to note that the Gospel of Bartholomew is not recognized by the Church, as it is deemed an apocryphal text and was rejected in the decree of Pseudo-Gelasius.

St. Bartholomew is honored for his unwavering faith and the significant sacrifice he made for Christianity. His life and legacy are celebrated each year on his feast day, August 24.

May kumakalat ngayon na video kung saan makikitang tinatawag ni Orly Guteza ang kanyang asawa at pinag-uusapan umano ang mga idinadagdag sa kanyang affidavit kaugnay ng sinasabing panggigipit sa kanya.

Pero tanong: Totoo ba talaga ang buong konteksto ng video, at kailan eksaktong ginawa ang recording?

Mahalagang tandaan na may magkakasalungat na salaysay si Guteza: una siyang nagbigay ng testimony laban kay Romualdez, pagkatapos ay naglabas ng bagong affidavit na bumabawi sa kanyang mga sinabi at nag-aakusa naman kina Marcoleta at Defensor.

In the twentieth century, devotion to Mary, the Mother of God, experienced a significant revival. This movement began earlier when, on December 8, 1854, Pope Pius IX proclaimed the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception. Just four years later, in 1858, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette Soubirous, a young girl from Lourdes, France, declaring, "I am the Immaculate Conception." Since then, Lourdes has become a major pilgrimage site known for numerous miracles.

The devotion continued to grow with the events in Fátima, Portugal. In 1916, three shepherd children reported visions of the Angel of Peace, the Guardian Angel of Portugal. The following year, in 1917, they experienced six apparitions of the Lady of the Rosary. The final vision was witnessed by 70,000 people, during which the sun appeared to dance and emit rays of light before returning to normal, leaving everyone dry after a sudden rainstorm.

In 1950, Pope Pius XII declared the Assumption of Mary as dogma, affirming that she was taken body and soul into heaven. This declaration underscored Mary's special role alongside Jesus, who reigns as King of Kings in Heaven. Early Church Fathers drew connections between the Old and New Testaments, viewing figures like King Solomon as prefigurations of Christ. For instance, Solomon's role as a wise peacemaker and builder of the Temple parallels Jesus' mission and the establishment of the Church.

On October 11, 1954, Pope Pius XII introduced the Memorial of the Queenship of Mary through his encyclical "Ad Caeli Reginam" (The Queen of Heaven). Initially set for May 31, the date was moved to August 22 in 1969 by Pope Paul VI to align closely with the Solemnity of the Assumption, highlighting Mary's role as Queen Mother of Heaven and Earth.

As Queen Mother, Mary intercedes for us and serves as a mediator, distributing God's grace from her heavenly throne. She lovingly cares for her children, eager to gather them in Heaven with her Son. This memorial invites us to approach Mary with the same trust and simplicity as a child approaches their mother, finding in her protection, hope, and boundless love.

Today's celebration reminds us that Mary, our Queen Mother in Heaven, is always ready to support and guide us with her perfect and unparalleled motherly love.
