𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭

Church members of Chosen United Methodist Church gathered in worship to celebrate the Ninth Sunday After Pentecost. The worship service reflected on Matthew 13:31–33, where Jesus taught that even the smallest beginning can grow into something great through God's power. The service was made more meaningful through the Song of Praise offered by the Women's Society of Christian Service (WSCS) and the United Methodist Men (UMM), as they lifted songs of thanksgiving and worship to God.

During the message, Rev. Marlon Pascua reminded the church that no act of service is too small in God's eyes. He stated, “Ang simpleng paglilingkod mo na maliit sa paningin ng ibang tao, pero sa paningin ng Diyos ay sobrang laki.” His message encouraged everyone to continue serving God with humility and faith, knowing that every act of service, no matter how small, has great value in His eyes.

The worship service ended with a reminder that God can use even the simplest acts of faith to accomplish His purpose. Church members left inspired to continue serving with love, trusting that every faithful act is seen and valued by God.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐄𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭

Church members of Chosen United Methodist Church gathered in worship to celebrate the Eighth Sunday after Pentecost. The worship service centered on Matthew 13:30, "Let both grow together until the harvest," reminding everyone to trust God's wisdom and perfect timing in every season of life.

The message encouraged church members to continue living with faith, patience, and love. Just as the wheat was allowed to grow until the harvest, God teaches us to remain faithful and continue doing what is right. While we may not always understand His plans, we can trust that He sees every heart and will accomplish His purpose in His perfect time.

The message also reminded everyone that growth takes time. Our faith becomes stronger as we continue to trust God, obey His Word, and choose to do what is right each day. Instead of focusing on the faults of others, we are called to grow in love, kindness, and faith, believing that God is working in our lives according to His perfect plan.

𝐈𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬 | 𝐅𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧

𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 held its worship service for the 𝐅𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭, bringing church members together for a time of worship, prayer, and reflection. The service reminded everyone to continue growing in faith and living according to God's Word.

A meaningful part of the worship was the celebration of 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐚, 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫, with the assistance of 𝐋𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐚, 𝐋𝐚𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫, and 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐳, 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧. As church members received the bread and cup, they remembered Christ's sacrifice and His great love for His people. The moment also served as a reminder to live with faith, love, and unity.

The worship service ended with hearts renewed and strengthened in faith. As church members returned to their homes, they carried with them the message of God's grace and the call to continue serving Him and sharing His love with others.

𝙇𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙚 21, 𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙣 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙈𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝘾𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙝
celebrated 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 as a way of honoring and appreciating the fathers who faithfully serve their families, church, and community.
The celebration became a meaningful opportunity to recognize their sacrifices, hard work, and unwavering commitment as providers, leaders, and role models.

During the celebration, 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐚, delivered a meaningful message reminding the congregation of the vital role fathers play in shaping families through faith, love, and godly leadership. He emphasized that a father's influence extends beyond providing for the family, as they are also called to be examples of faith, integrity, and compassion in their homes and communities.

The occasion was filled with gratitude and appreciation as the church honored all fathers for their dedication and service. As the congregation reflected on their contributions, prayers were offered for God's continued guidance, strength, and blessings upon them. As part of the 𝟏𝟎𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 of 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡, a 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 was held in the presence of 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐚, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐧𝐫. TUNHAY 2026: A Journey of Enduring Faith and Wholehearted Service

Last May 18–21, 2026, the UMYF of Chosen United Methodist Church actively participated in the Summer Institute 2026 organized by the United Methodist Youth Fellowship in the Philippines (UMYFP) under the Northwest Nueva Ecija District. Carrying the inspiring theme “TUNHAY: Enduring Faith, Lasting Journey,” the event became a meaningful gathering filled with faith, fellowship, learning, and spiritual growth.

Throughout the institute, the participants wholeheartedly joined various spiritual activities, leadership sessions, worship experiences, and fellowship programs designed to strengthen their relationship with God and encourage unity among the youth. The event also provided opportunities for the participants to develop their leadership skills, deepen their commitment to ministry, and embrace their calling as young disciples of Christ.

The word “Tunhay,” which means enduring or lasting faith, served as the heart of the institute’s message. Anchored on 1 Corinthians 15:58, the theme reminded everyone to remain firm, faithful, and unwavering in serving the Lord despite life’s challenges and difficulties.

The theme “TUNHAY” taught the participants valuable life lessons about faith, perseverance, and service. It reminded everyone that trials and struggles are part of life, but with strong faith and trust in God, people can continue moving forward with courage and hope. More than just a summer gathering, the experience became a spiritual journey that inspired the youth to become better Christians, responsible leaders, and instruments of God’s love within their church and community.

The Chosen UMYF would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the sponsors, church members, parents, and supporters who generously shared their blessings to make their participation in the Summer Institute 2026 possible. Through their kindness, prayers, and financial support, the youth were given the opportunity to experience spiritual growth, fellowship, and valuable life lessons. Their generosity became a great reminder of God’s love working through people who willingly support the ministry and growth of the youth.
