He spoke to them another parable. โThe kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with three measures of wheat flour until the whole batch was leavened.โ โ Matthew 13:33
Yeast is smallโvirtually invisible once it is worked into the dough. Yet, its influence is pervasive and powerful. This simple image of yeast worked into three measures of flour, causing it to slowly rise, reveals truth: the Kingdom of Heaven is built quietly, from within. Like leaven silently transforming dough from the inside out, Godโs grace operates in the same mannerโhidden yet activeโwithin our hearts, the Church, and the world.
In this synodal journey of faith, it ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ensuring that no one is left behind. A planted seed of faith can only flourish where the soil is intentionally made fertile. Therefore, we bear the communal responsibility to wholeheartedly teach, nurture, and guide the younger ones and guide them to the path of the Lord for them to walk upon.
Just like how small amount of yeast inevitably causes the entire batch to rise, even our smallest actions, when rooted in grace, possess a great impact on the lives of others.
