As we reflected on Mark 4:21–25 in our recent Bible study, we were reminded that God's Word is not meant to be hidden—it is meant to shine through our lives.

Just as a lamp is placed where its light can be seen, the Word of God should not only be heard but also received, treasured, and lived out. True listening goes beyond simply hearing with our ears. It is allowing God's Word to take root in our hearts, transform our lives, and be evident in the way we live.

Jesus also reminds us that the measure of our faith, obedience, and willingness to receive His Word is the measure by which we will grow. The more we sincerely seek Him and apply His truth, the more He reveals to us.
May we not be hearers of the Word alone, but faithful doers who let His light shine for others to see.

In today's Bible study, we were reminded of a powerful truth from Mark 3:31–35: Being part of God's family is not determined by blood, but by faith and obedience to His will.

When Jesus' mother and brothers came looking for Him, they did not yet fully understand His mission. Out of concern, misunderstanding, and even the pressure of public opinion, they tried to call Him away. But instead of rejecting His biological family, Jesus revealed a greater truth: those who do the will of God are His true family.

Jesus reminds us that while our biological family is a gift from God, our relationship with Him gives us an even greater identity. Through Christ, we are adopted as children of God and become part of His spiritual family, a family united not by blood, but by faith and obedience to God's will.

Following Jesus also comes with a cost. There may be times when even the people closest to us do not understand our faith or the calling God has placed on our lives. Yet Jesus reminds us that those who belong to Him are never alone—we have a spiritual family united by faith, love, and obedience to God.

As Christians, let us ask ourselves: Are we simply connected to Christ by name, or are we living as members of His family by faithfully doing the will of the Father? May our lives reflect the identity we have received in Him and may we love and serve one another as true brothers and sisters in Christ.

No matter what today brings, our peace is found in God's unchanging character. He is faithful, sovereign, and good. Because of who He is, we can confidently say, it is well.

In today's Bible study, we studied Mark 3:20–30, where the scribes accused Jesus of casting out demons by the power of Satan. Through a parable, Jesus revealed the foolishness of their accusation. A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand—if Satan were fighting against Satan, his kingdom would fall.

In verse 27, Jesus teaches that no one can plunder a strong man's house unless he first binds the strong man. This points to Christ's authority over Satan. Jesus did not work by Satan's power; He came to defeat Satan and rescue those who are under his bo***ge.

The passage also shows that the scribes rejected the clear work of the Holy Spirit. As Christians, the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, leads us to genuine repentance, and transforms our hearts. As promised in (Ezekiel 36:26–27), God gives us a new heart and puts His Spirit within us so that we may walk in obedience to Him.

A question for us as Christians:
Are we recognizing and responding to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives?

As Christians, may we never harden our hearts against the work of the Holy Spirit. Instead, let us remain sensitive to His conviction, respond with repentance, and continue trusting and following Christ each day.
