Today, we honor Saints Peter and Paul, the two great Apostles whose faith, courage, and unwavering dedication helped establish and spread the Church of Christ.

As we celebrate Pope's Day, let us also lift up our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, in our prayers. May the Lord continue to bless him with wisdom, strength, and grace as he faithfully leads the Church.

𝕾𝖆𝖎𝖓𝖙 𝕮𝖞𝖗𝖎𝖑 𝖔𝖋 𝕬𝖑𝖊𝖝𝖆𝖓𝖉𝖗𝖎𝖆

Saint Cyril of Alexandria (c. 376–444) was the Patriarch of Alexandria and one of the greatest theologians of the early Church. He courageously defended the true teaching that Jesus Christ is one divine Person with both a divine and human nature.

At the Council of Ephesus, Saint Cyril played a leading role in defending the title of the Blessed Virgin Mary as Theotokos ("Mother of God"), affirming that the one she bore is truly God and truly man. For his profound writings and defense of the faith, he was declared a Doctor of the Church.

Feast Day: June 27
Patron Saint of: Theologians and those who study and teach the Christian faith.

Miracle
Saint Cyril's greatest legacy was preserving the Church's teaching about Christ. Through his intercession, many have received spiritual guidance and strength in defending the Catholic faith. Miracles recognized by the Church also contributed to his canonization and enduring veneration.

𝕾𝖆𝖎𝖓𝖙 𝕵𝖔𝖘𝖊𝖒𝖆𝖗í𝖆 𝕰𝖘𝖈𝖗𝖎𝖛á

Saint Josemaría Escrivá (1902–1975) was a Spanish priest who founded Opus Dei in 1928. He taught that every person is called to holiness, not only priests and religious, but also ordinary men and women through their daily work, family life, and ordinary responsibilities.

Throughout his ministry, he preached the universal call to holiness, encouraging people to offer their everyday tasks to God with love and excellence. His spiritual writings, especially The Way, continue to inspire millions around the world.

Feast Day: June 26
Patron Saint of: Although he has no official universal patronage, he is widely invoked by workers, professionals, students, and those seeking holiness in everyday life.

Miracle
Numerous miracles have been attributed to Saint Josemaría's intercession. One medically inexplicable healing, recognized by the Church, led to his canonization in 2002. Many people continue to seek his prayers for guidance in work, family life, and spiritual growth.

Saint William of Vercelli (c. 1085–1142) was an Italian pilgrim, hermit, and founder of the Congregation of Montevergine. As a young man, he made a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela and later chose a life of prayer, penance, and solitude.

Seeking a deeper relationship with God, he lived as a hermit on Mount Vergine near Naples. His holiness attracted many followers, leading him to establish a monastic community dedicated to prayer, simplicity, and devotion to God.

Feast Day: June 25
Patron Saint of: The Congregation of Montevergine and those seeking a life of prayer and spiritual renewal.

Miracle
Many miracles were attributed to Saint William during his lifetime, including healings and acts of divine protection. One well-known tradition tells of a wolf that became gentle through his prayers and lived peacefully among the community, demonstrating God's power working through His servant.

The Nativity of Saint John the Baptist celebrates the birth of John, the son of Saint Zechariah and Saint Elizabeth. His birth was miraculous because Elizabeth was advanced in age and had been unable to have children.

The angel Gabriel announced John's birth and foretold that he would prepare the way for the coming of the Messiah. Filled with the Holy Spirit from the womb, John later became the great prophet who preached repentance and baptized Jesus in the Jordan River.

Feast Day: June 24
Patron Saint of: Baptism, converts, preachers, and those seeking spiritual renewal.

Miracle
The miraculous conception and birth of John the Baptist were signs of God's power and plan for salvation. Another miracle occurred when Mary visited Elizabeth: the unborn John leaped for joy in his mother's womb at the presence of Jesus.

Saint Joseph Cafasso (1811–1860) was an Italian priest known for his holiness, wisdom, and dedication to the poor, prisoners, and those condemned to death. Ordained in Turin, he became a renowned spiritual director and teacher of priests.

He was a mentor to Saint John Bosco and played a crucial role in guiding him in his mission to educate and care for young people. Saint Joseph spent countless hours hearing confessions, preaching, and visiting prisons, bringing hope and God's mercy to those most in need.

Feast Day: June 23
Patron Saint of: Prisoners, prison chaplains, and those condemned to death.

Miracle
Many favors and healings have been attributed to Saint Joseph Cafasso's intercession. He was especially known during his life for helping hardened sinners repent and return to God. Numerous conversions and spiritual transformations were associated with his ministry.

Saint John Fisher and Saint Thomas More were faithful Catholics in 16th-century England who courageously defended the faith during the reign of King Henry VIII.

Saint John Fisher, Bishop of Rochester, was known for his holiness, learning, and unwavering loyalty to the Church. Saint Thomas More, a lawyer, scholar, and Lord Chancellor of England, was respected for his wisdom and integrity.

When King Henry VIII declared himself head of the Church in England, both Fisher and More refused to accept the king's authority over the Church. Because of their fidelity to their conscience and the Catholic faith, they were imprisoned in the Tower of London and eventually executed in 1535.

Feast Day: June 22
Patron Saints of: Lawyers, statesmen, politicians, public servants, and those defending religious freedom.

Miracle
The greatest testimony of these saints is their steadfast witness to truth and conscience. Through their intercession, many faithful have received spiritual strength to remain faithful to God in times of trial and persecution.
