Divine Mercy Sunday is the Easter gift, through Jesusโ€™ death and resurrection, mercy flows freely bringing peace and forgiveness.

Revealed to St. Faustina, this day calls you to trust in Godโ€™s mercy, receive it, and share it with others through love and forgiveness. โ€œHumanity will never find peace until it turns with trust to Divine Mercy.โ€

Today is not just a celebration of an eventโ€”it is the celebration of a promise fulfilled. The Resurrection reminds us that no darkness, no suffering, no grave, and no hopeless situation has the final word. Jesus rising from the dead is Godโ€™s loudest declaration that life defeats death, hope defeats despair, and love defeats sin.

There are moments in our lives when we feel buried by problems, grief, failures, and fears. We feel like we are in our own โ€œtomb,โ€ waiting in silence. But the Resurrection tells us that the stone will be rolled away. What seemed like an ending is actually the beginning of something new.

Jesus did not only rise for Himselfโ€”He rose for us. So that every time we feel lost, broken, or tired, we can remember: resurrection is possible. New life is possible. Healing is possible.

Because Jesus is alive, our faith is alive. Our hope is alive. And we, too, are called to riseโ€”from sin, from doubt, from past wounds, and from anything that keeps us from living fully.

Hallelujah! The tomb is empty, and our hearts can be full.

Today, on Black Saturday, we sit in the quiet between sorrow and hope. After the suffering of Jesus Christ on Good Friday, the world feels unusually still. It is the silence of waiting. The silence of grief. The silence where heaven seems quiet and answers seem far.

This is the day when the earth holds its breath.

โ€œThe King is asleep.โ€ God, who walked among people, who healed, forgave, and loved without limits, now lies in the tomb. It feels like darkness has won. Like hope has been buried with Him. And in this stillness, we are reminded of the moments in our own lives when everything feels paused โ€” when prayers seem unanswered, when pain lingers, when we are stuck between heartbreak and healing.

But this silence is not empty.

It is sacred.

Because this is the silence before the miracle.

While the world waits, something powerful is happening beyond what eyes can see. Hell trembles. Death is being defeated. And hope is quietly preparing to rise. The stillness of Black Saturday teaches us that God is present even in the waiting, even in the quiet seasons of our lives when nothing seems to move.

Sometimes, God works the most when we see the least.

โ€œIn stillness, earth awaits the Resurrection.โ€ And so do we. We wait with faith. We wait with trust. We wait knowing that the story does not end in the tomb.

Because after the silenceโ€ฆ comes the victory.

This Good Friday, we reflect on the extraordinary love of Jesus Christ, who willingly bore our sins in His body on the Cross at Calvary.

Long before He was nailed to the Cross, Jesusโ€™ life was a testament of selfless love and unwavering obedience to Godโ€™s will. He healed the sick, comforted the brokenhearted, fed the hungry, and forgave sinners. In the Last Supper, He humbly washed His disciplesโ€™ feet, teaching them that true greatness is found in serving others. In Gethsemane, He wrestled with the weight of what was to come, yet prayed, โ€œNot my will, but Yours be done,โ€ showing the depth of His surrender and courage.

Even when betrayed by Judas Iscariot, denied, mocked, and beaten, Jesus did not retaliate. He carried His cross with patience and compassion, fully aware of the suffering He would endure for our sake.

His crucifixion is the ultimate demonstration of love: He gave His life so that we might die to sin and live in righteousness. By His wounds, we are healed; by His sacrifice, we are offered forgiveness, hope, and new life.

On this Good Friday, let us remember not only His death, but the life that led Him to itโ€”a life of compassion, service, humility, and perfect love. May His example inspire us to love sacrificially, forgive freely, and walk each day in gratitude for the mercy we have received.

Who can I serve the way Jesus serves?
Almsgiving is more than money.
Sometimes, itโ€™s your time, your presence, your attention, or your prayers.
This Holy Week, let us remember the least, the lost, and the last.
Let's make a room for an act of love and charity. ๐Ÿ’›

Jesus did not command us to love when it is easyโ€”but to love the way He loves: patiently, humbly, and sacrificially. On Holy Thursday, we remember a love shown through service, forgiveness, and self-giving. This is the love we are called to live out dailyโ€”quietly choosing kindness, mercy, and compassion for others.
