TESTIMONY TIME!
Before coming to the Asia Pacific Nazarene Youth Conference (APNYC), I was carrying so much pain in my heart. I was struggling mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. There were so many things happening in my life that I slowly lost my trust in people. I became tired, hurt, and discouraged.
There was even a time when I wanted to stop serving God. I kept asking myself, "If people will judge me anyway, then why should I continue? Sometimes I couldn't even see the difference between some Christians and non-Christians." Those thoughts made me question my purpose and my desire to keep serving.
But praise God, the enemy did not win.
As the conference was getting closer, I felt like the enemy was doing everything possible to stop me from attending. There were many challenges, but God made a way. He provided through the kindness and generosity of many people. I am deeply thankful to everyone God used to help me be part of APNYC. You became part of God's answer to my prayers.
On the very first night in Tagaytay, God spoke directly to my heart. He reminded me that before He could use me, I needed to surrender everything to Him. The theme of the conference was Holy Surrender, and that was exactly what my heart needed.
That night, I cried before God and surrendered everything I had been hiding inside. My pride, my hurt, my anger, my doubts, my fears, my disappointments, and every burden I had been carrying for so long. I stopped pretending that I was okay and simply let God heal me.
I prayed, "Lord, I want to be a blessing to the people around me. Use my life for Your glory. I surrender everything that is not pleasing to You. My plans, my dreams, my pain, and even my future belong to You."
God met me in that moment.
Throughout the conference, God slowly changed my heart. He taught me to understand people instead of judging them. He taught me to love people the way He loves them. He reminded me that forgiveness brings freedom and that surrender is not losing something it is trusting God with everything.
APNYC was more than just a conference for me. It became the place where God restored my heart, renewed my faith, and reminded me of my calling. It was my breakthrough.
My circumstances may not be perfect, but my heart is no longer the same. I choose to trust God again. I choose to keep serving Him. I choose to surrender my dreams, my future, and my whole life to Him.
My prayer is that this will not be the end of what God has started in me. I pray that He will continue to humble me, shape me, and use me for His glory. May my life always point people to Jesus, because everything I am and everything I have belongs to Him alone.
To God be all the glory.
