Thank you to Dr. Joy Candelario, former Executive Secretary of the FABC-Office of the Laity and Family- Youth Desk from 2003-2011, for sharing about the COYA journey, the challenges of organizations and movement over the years, and how to move forward in the spirit of communion.

Last June 27, 2026, the Catholic Orgqnizations for Youth in Asia celebrated 20 years of serving the young. We came together sharing our unique charisms so that together, we can inspire and enrich one another in our mission.

Sharing about synodality in COYA, Dr. Joy Candelario, mentioned patient accompaniment; in particular, accompaniment in view of discernment", and the importance of a shared synodal formation.

As we continue the journey together in the spirit of communion, we move forward keeping in mind that a Synodal Church is walking together - no one should be left behind.

Eight Asian organizations, movements and institutions that work with the young gathered online on April 25, 2026 to discuss how to come together once again to build/ re-build relationships and collaboration between them.

These are: CFC Youth for Christ, CFC-Singles for Christ, Fondacio, IT Youth, FIMCAP Asia, IMCS-Asia Pacific, Salesian Youth Movement - FMA, and Salesian Youth Movement - SDB.
