On March 7, 2026, the youth from Mati Ward 1, Ward 2, and Ward 3, together with their youth leaders and full-time missionaries, gathered for a Coastal Clean-Up Drive at Barangay Central, Bilawan-2, Mati City, Davao Oriental. The activity brought the youth together with a shared desire to serve and care for their community.

With willing hearts and a spirit of service, the youth worked side by side along the shoreline collecting plastic bottles, wrappers, and other debris. What began as a simple service activity quickly became a meaningful experience of unity, cooperation, and dedication.

Through this effort, the youth were reminded that service is an important part of discipleship. Their actions showed that even small acts of service can create a positive impact and help care for the community and the environment.

On February 28, 2026, the Mati Stake youth and youth leaders together with full-time missionaries gathered together for a coastal clean-up drive at Purok 2, Bundas, Bagumbayan, Lupon, Davao Oriental.

Despite the rain that poured earlier that morning, the activity continued as planned. For a moment, the weather seemed like it would cut the service short, but the youth remained determined. As they carried on with faith, the rain gradually eased โ€” a small but meaningful miracle for everyone present.

Armed with sacks and gloves, the youth spread out along the shoreline and began collecting plastic bottles, wrappers, and other debris. What could have been just another service project quickly turned into a meaningful experience of unity.

More than improving the condition of the coastline, the clean-up drive became a reminder that service, no matter how simple, makes a difference.

The Mati Philippines Stake recently held a Family History Training for stake leaders, ward bishoprics and clerks, ward family history consultants, and Relief Society presidencies with their secretaries. Presided over by President Francis Busilaoco, the training was conducted with enthusiasm and dedication by Brother and Sister Santillas.

The session inspired leaders to help members participate in family history work, strengthening efforts to gather Israel on both sides of the veil. Attendees left encouraged to guide and support their families and wards in this sacred responsibility.

February 14 was more than just Valentineโ€™s Dayโ€”it was a day of love, service, and discovery at the Mati Stake Center Open House. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints worked hand in hand to welcome visitors, opening the doors of the Stake Center and the heart of the gospel to all who came.

Guests were guided through lessons and discussions that shed light on the Saviorโ€™s teachings, the Restoration of the gospel, and the mission of the Church in strengthening families and communities. Each presentation offered a glimpse into how faith is lived dailyโ€”through service, youth programs, family history work, and humanitarian efforts.

What made the day truly special was the spirit of unity. Members came together with warmth and sincerity, greeting visitors with smiles, answering questions, and sharing testimonies that touched hearts. It wasnโ€™t just about explaining what the Church isโ€”it was about showing how it uplifts lives, builds friendships, and inspires hope.

The Open House concluded with gratitude and reflection, leaving both members and guests with a deeper sense of connection and understanding. It was a day of fellowship, learning, and spiritual lightโ€”a reminder that the gospel is not only taught, but lived.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who prepared, participated, and joined us. Truly, the Mati Stake Center Open House was a celebration of faith, community, and the joy of sharing the Saviorโ€™s love.

The spirit of unity and faith filled the day as the youth of Mati 3rd Ward came together to learn, share, and shine in celebration of the Mati 3rd Ward Annual Youth Gathering. Inspiring talks, heartfelt testimonies, and joyful exchanges reminded us that while they wonโ€™t remain youth forever, the lessons, friendships, and faith they build today will guide them for a lifetime.

This gathering was more than a programโ€”it was a celebration of growth, courage, and the radiant light of youth preparing to step into even greater roles in the Church and community. Truly, a day to remember!

On January 31, 2026, the BanayBanay Chapel was filled with faith, warmth, and inspiration as young women leaders in each ward/branch gathered for a Young Women Leaders Training conducted by the Stake Young Women Presidency. The activity was more than just a trainingโ€”it was a sacred moment of learning, reflection, and spiritual growth.

They were reminded of their divine identity as daughters of Heavenly Father and of the important roles they are preparing for as nurturers and examples of Christlike living. Through thoughtful lessons, meaningful discussions, and shared testimonies, they were encouraged to strengthen their confidence, develop leadership skills, and rely on faith in making righteous decisions.

A day of spiritual discovery, fellowship, and meaningful learning filled the air at Lupon Ward, Mati Philippines Stake. Within the Lupon Meeting House, members and guests came together to explore the church's mission, teachings, and community initiatives during the Chapel Tour held on January 24, 2026.

The morning opened with heartfelt reverence and warm welcome. Participants gathered for opening exercises that included inspiring hymn singing, prayer, and an orientation that set the tone for the day ahead. Guided tours led attendees through ten insightful stations throughout the meeting house, where they delved into topics ranging from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, the Restoration of the gospel, and the structure of lay leadership, to community services, family history work, and humanitarian efforts.

Additional stations highlighted the church's dedicated organizations for children, youth, and men โ€“ each designed to nurture faith and build strong individuals and families. Educational opportunities were also featured, including BYU Pathway, the Perpetual Education Fund, and the BENSON Scholarship, which open doors to brighter futures for many in the community.

As the day progressed, participants came together in the Sacrament Hall to share refreshments and engage in further discussion. The tour concluded with closing hymns, prayer, and the presentation of Certificates of Appreciation by Bishop Allan M. Reyes and Stake President Francis C. Busilaoco, recognizing everyone who contributed to and participated in the event.

Throughout the day, connections were forged, understanding was deepened, and a powerful sense of unity was strengthened as individuals embraced the opportunity to learn, reflect, and uplift one another.
