𝑾𝒉𝒐 𝒂𝒎 𝑰? and 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒂𝒎 𝑰 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆?

These are some of the deepest questions of human life. It speaks about our identity and purpose. The world’s pattern often teaches that our identity comes from what we do, what we own, or how others see us.

And most often we see our value and worth by how the people see us. Success, popularity, and appearance are now the measures of worth. And if we fail to live up with these things, we think less of ourselves.

God, however, calls us to a different way. He invites us to stop conforming and instead be transformed. Transformation happens when our minds and hearts are shaped by God’s truth, His Word.

Once our identity is aligned with God, we begin to understand our calling and purpose.

We will get to discover who we truly are and we no longer seek validation from the world but God.

In doing so, we begin to walk in a life anchored in God’s truth, a life that is good, pleasing and perfect according to His will.

Youth Home Visitation

Last Friday we reflected on a theme about radical friendship. In Mark 2:1-12, we see a wonderful example of what true friendship looks like.

With their faith in Jesus, wanting their friend to be healed, they did not let obstacles stop them. When they couldn’t get through the crowd they tore the roof, and lowered their sick friend to Jesus believing that He could heal him.

This reminds us that our faith can make a difference in someone’s life.

An encouragement that real friends will bring each other to Jesus. True friends are there in good times and in bad. They don’t give up on each other. Thus, they lift each other up.

Discussion Question: How can you be a better Christian friend?
